gogo
A fun night out, and Shane actually made it to the stage, what more could we ask for? owl
Dirty Old Town (5) (5) dedicated to Victoria by Shane; we never got to hear Tweedy sing it at the basement show, but this is the real deal anyway You ever hear the Ted Leo/Pharmacists version? It's pretty cool too. The Pogues version is definitely the real deal, though.
gogo
Ha, you quoted the one line of my post that I was editing at that exact moment! Never heard the Ted Leo version, but I'm always open to new interpretations. I will say that The Pogues' Irish Rover is one of theirs that isn't the real deal, not without The Dubliners singing/playing along with them, anyway.
