IATTBYB
From the greatest blog about college football. MZone reader Dan writes that Monday night, at the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Columbus, drummer Chad Smith (who grew up in Bloomfield Hills, MI) came out on stage wearing a Michigan jersey. Well, as you can imagine, this went over like a fart in church. So the folks in C-bus started booing the band! But the band fires back by opening their show with The Victors. Dan tells us that radio stations in Columbus are going nuts, with one station boycotting their music and removing the Chili Peppers from its playlist. Anybody else have any info on this or, better yet, video from the concert? I know it may be a strech, but did anyone who frequents this corner of the internets attend, and if so, could they confirm that the show was opened with The Victors? Go Blue! Gobias Industries
RHCP are out of their prime anyways. Does it even matter?
MrRain422
I don't know if that's true...but if it is, then that is spectacular. I saw RHCP play in Pontiac just before Californication was released, and totally saw Chad Smith drive off in an old Buick with his parents. It was fucking adorable. jhh4321
My friend who was at the show just told me that for the encore Chad Smith did indeed come out on stage wearing a Michigan jersey. The crowd booed him and then they started singing hail to the victors (the michigan fight song).
