Beltmann
This was my first viewing with my daughters, 8 & 11, and they loved it, almost as much as we did 20 years ago!!! Can you BELIEVE it was THAT long ago?!? A-MA-ZING!!!Dread Roberts lives on!!! I saw that in the theater when I was a kid, and it has been a favorite ever since. (And when I think of Robin Wright Penn, Cary Elwes, or Mandy Patinkin, I always think of this movie first.) I'm happy to see that it has had such a long life... as a teacher, I use about 8-10 minutes from it to illustrate the concept of frame tale, and the kids always know the movie by heart. I can't wait to share it with my own daughter! Unfortunately, we're still a few years away...
Duck-Billed Catechist
LUV the movie, LUV the Chicago scenes, LUV George Newburn Not much real Chicago in that movie. Apparently it was filmed in Toronto.
Wilco Worshipper
Not much real Chicago in that movie. Apparently it was filmed in Toronto. Well, the outside city scenes...the buildings downtown...isn't that Chicago?!? I could've sworn I saw those buildings when I was there, particularly the one with the diamond shaped slanted side... Duck-Billed Catechist
The Smurfit-Stone Building doesn't look right in the movie. I think it's a model. The skyline they show at the end is four buildings that coud've been plucked from the Chicago skyline, but it's a composite at best--it's not a real skyline scene.

EL the Famous
Went and saw the Transformers movie yesterday and not only did it not suck as much as I thought it would, it's was pure, enjoyable summer blockbuster fun. I should have enjoyed Spiderman 3 as much as I did this.

EL the Famous
Don't blame yourself. If I wouldn't have had a hand in coreographing the Tobey McGuire dance sequences, i'd feel better about the whole thing.

Yeah in the movie they have it pasted behind (west) the stock exchange, and in real life (if it were placed where the movie has it) it would be like blocking traffic on the Eisenhower. There was no Chicago in that "Chicago"

Beltmann
good god sophia loren is insanely hot.The movie has three stories, and in the last Marcello Mastroianni nearly goes berserk trying to get Sophia into the sack. (In the first, she plays a woman about to be arrested, but discovers a loophole: As long as she's nursing a baby, the cops can't put her in jail... so she just keeps getting knocked up, over and over. Both stories use her, um, physicality to great advantage.)
