Analogman
I guess he has been busy with porno movie soundtracks. October 3rd, 2006 [in case you haven't heard, Saturday night, Sept 30th was the night of a grandiose event. Officially named "The Gathering" the party was to celebrate the release of Michael Ninn's newest adult film, Sacred Sin. Michael is a friend of Eddie Van Halen's, and Eddie contributed two music tracks to the movie. The party was hosted by Michael's company, Ninn Worx, and also legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen. The party was held at Van Halen's famous 5150 estate, which was also were Sacred Sin was filmed]. story + photos

EL the Famous
This thread just makes me sad. Up until 'Balance', these guys were still high atop my favorite band list...even w/ Sammy.
Analogman
He sure could be doing something better than porno movie soundtracks. Mike Bloomfield did that too - not long before he died.
Sir Stewart
I was never so excited in my life as when Van Halen announced their reunion with Dave back in...1997? 96? It was said best by a friend, in all seriousness: "When they come out onstage, and Eddie launches into Ain't Talkin' Bout Love, I am going to shit my pants."Of course, a week later the dream was over. Analogman
This is a nutty statement to make - but I think Gary Cherone was the best singer they had. Too bad that didn't work out.
solace
This is a nutty statement to make - but I think Gary Cherone was the best singer they had. Too bad that didn't work out. he's a good singer, no doubt, but he didn't fit the band whatsoever. plus he's a hardcore pro-life right winger, i'm sure that didn't help his status w/ the rest of the band either. Analogman
That album did not even go gold at the time it came out as I recall.
