plasticeyeball Posted January 21, 2007 Share Posted January 21, 2007 could someone please describe a pogues show? like will someone dump guiness on my head or anything? as long as your not standing in front of me, you should be alright. i've been known to be a sloppy drinker. i saw the band a a crap place called city gardens in trenton nj a bazillion years ago. at the time there was no such thing as guinness served in places like that but you would leave soaked in sweat and bud, unfortunately. i did see shane mcgowan and the popes at irving plaza (i think) also many years ago now and yes, my shirt was pretty brown by the time we left the place but again, i'm sloppy and most of that spillage was self induced. had tickets for one of last years ny shows but my mother-in-law died 2 weeks prior so had to give up my tickets. looks like i'll get another chance!! thanks for the heads up ttl!! And then a few months later I think the Bad Brains passed through... that's the right time fame and i'm pretty sure it was the only time they were ever there. hell, it was the only time i was ever there. i lived in eastern monmouth county then so an hour to trenton was a big trip for me back then. i pretty much stayed in a 5 mile radius between the years of 1985 and 1992.
