solace
http://www.nme.com/news/27208 personally i'm kinda glad. the last 2 records have just slowly decreased in quality from Quality Control (a fairly ironic title looking back ), and they were heading into Black Eyed Peas territory. aricandover
they pissed me off when they decided they weren't going to play an outdoor show at CMU, because it was too windy.

Good for them. I had the same BEP worry about them.
quarter23cd
Not really earth-shattering to me, but unfortunate. I even thought Quality Control wasn't really as enjoyable as it seemed like it should have been, so I never bothered with the ones after that. One of those sum of the parts not adding up things for me, I guess. To carry the BEP comparison, I guess it was best to end it before they added their Fergie and totally went down the crapper. Sir Stewart
I'll always have the memory of me and my homesweats tearing apart the dance floor to "What's Golden" at my wedding.
okp greg
when i listened to their last album once and decided there was nothing going back to listen to, i hoped this would happen. glad i got to see them tear it up a couple times.
P Dub
I didn't really know much about them before I saw them at Jazz Fest in NOLA 2006...and later in StL 8/06. I thought they were great live! It's cool they stayed together for so long...
yermom
In my house, we like to say J5 became J4 when Cut Chemist left and we were never big fans of J4 anyhow. I wonder...because there were 6 of them to begin with, did they decide they were better off without Cut Chemist because then there were five of them?
EL the Famous
I liked Power in Numbers, but the last one was awful...definitely lost something when Cut Chemist left. They still put on of my favorite live gigs ever though, so it's kind of a bummer.

gabepride
I saw them in '02 at the 9:30. They were pretty sick. It was the only show I've seen there with metal detectors and wands, though.
