Oil Can Boyd
I've heard some (not so cool) people call this "Crimebridge." The data is a year old but it tells a different story: Crime rates in Cambridge last year were at their lowest in over 40 years, according to the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) 2005 Annual Crime Report released online Wednesday. The 3,814 serious crimes indexed by the report represented a 12 percent decrease from 2004. Although the numbers of murders and rapes went up

Wilco Worshipper
Dear New England VCers, I've been dying to go on a road trip for a good while now. I've decided to forgo the Merriweather Post show here, and head up to your neck of the woods for the VT show, and for good measure the problably the Boston show too. I've never been to Boston, so I was wondering if any of you peeps could recommend places to stay and some must do eat and see kind of stuff. I'm pretty sure I'm coming up there by myself from DC. I'd be interested in meeting some of our fellow VCers if you guys want to hang (message me if you be interested) Thanks, Jonathan As for eating...ANYTHING at all in the North End, basically Italian restaurants, is a must. As for sightseeing...there's a ton. I'll have to think about that one.
darkstar
LUCKY YOU!!! Do they give you a lot of garbage about the way you talk?!? Yeah, but actually it has it's advantages....a lot of the Southern Belles down here kinda like the accent for some reason my friends try to imitate it, but there is nothing worse than someone who can't fake a Boston accent try to do it.... Sir Stewart
there is nothing worse than someone who can't fake a Boston accent try to do it....As proven by Hollywood over and over and over again. Rob Morrow in Quiz Show may stand out as the worst culprit of all.

Atticus
You're just not visiting it right. you are factually wrong
Sir Stewart
hell yeah, that was awful....thought Martin Sheen kinda sucked in the Departed with it as wellHe was doing his JFK in that. The woman in that one did a poor Boston accent too - which makes me want to tell filmmakers: Not all people who live in Boston have Boston accents, so you don't need to have every actor in your Boston-based film strain to imitate one. MeDave
somewhat related- a bunch of my college friends from western ma (n. adams, pittsfield etc.) always insisted that the portions of NY and MA between the connecticut and hudson should be its own state.
viatroy
yeah, it's definitely not New York. The only thing that allows me to admit to being a New Yorker is having that private knowledge.
