I KNEW someone was going to ask and there's so little lyrics, I can't remember at the moment. My bad... :hmm

I know what it's NOT...

It was probably the one with the guitar solo from You Are My Face and the lyrics "I have no idea how this happens". It is pretty funny, for a tv spot for an overpriced car. Sorry, my one and only VW broke down near Little Big Horn, Montana. It was my last stand with Euro car.

I can't see this one getting out of hand, but, then again, you never know.

can't you see that any thread about this subject will become inflammatory??? CAN'T YOU?!

Only if people MAKE IT THAT WAY...we're just stating facts here, not really much else...

The commercials were on...

They were using You Are My Face and Sky Blue Sky...

The Sox won...

THE END

i don't remember which of those two i saw, but whatever it was ended in a way that cut the lyrics in a very poor way. bad editing.

Question to the young adults out there in VC land: are you buying into the concept that the Volkswagen - or V-Dubs, as the kids say - is a hip, happenin' set of wheels that says a lot about who you are and what you're about?

VWs are nice. Most people look good driving them.

Most people I know with a Volkswagen seem to want to think they are cool, but I think they just wish they could have afforded an Audi or something. They used to be nice cars before they outsourced half the line to mexico for assembly. My dad sells them on his lot, and he is not a fan of their electrical problems (which are well documented and easy to search for).

Sorry if you thought I was trying to hijack your thread, but it's not as if there was much of a premise to open the thread besides, "Hey, the 2nd VW commercial aired tonight."

Is there any particular direction that you were hoping for with this thread, besides "Yeah, I saw it too"?

I drive a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder with nearly 200,000 miles on it. So I guess that's a no. Although the fact that they have Wilco songs on their commercials really makes me wanna buy a brand new Jetta!!!! (kidding)
