Sort of. He was right that steroids were prevelant in baseball, and he was right that Palmiero used. I could have told you that, and I think anybody probably could've guessed it.

And if he had something on Arod, why wouldn't he have published it in the last book.

He's got the right to say whatever he wants, and hey I admire him for telling the truth about himself, something nobody else has done, but he could be making shit up. We don't really know.

Nice day to have Garrett Atkins on a fantasy team. Six RBI. A 19-4 rout of Milwaukee for the sweep, too. I was planning on going to the 1:00 game today at Coor's Field but up until about an hour ago I thought today was Tuesday.

At the beginning of the season in my fantasy auction draft, I was choosing between Holliday and Atkins. I chose Holliday. I made the right choice.

Yeah, Atkins is having a very good year. Holliday is having a phenomenal year.

Up until a few weeks ago, Atkins wasn't doing much at all. I thought he would at least improve on last year, but it would take a massive hotstreak to even match last season.

P - Yovani Gallardo, Brewers 8/8/07

IP: 2.2

H: 12

R: 11

ER: 11

BB: 3

K: 1

HR: 2

His ERA went from 2.55 to 4.20 today.

My day's not looking so bad after all.

I nearly threw up while this was happening. Even worse, the Brewers used five pitchers after Gallardo, thereby completely taxing an already overworked bullpen in a fruitless endeavor. This team has been breaking my heart on a nearly daily basis ever since the All-Star break.

But Gallardo's going to be okay. He's going to be a rock star pitcher in the very near future.

I watched the end of this one. Pretty tense 9th.

Castillo and Reyes work well together. Huge win for the Mets.

Hey, he can't be worse than three-fifths of the rest of the rotation, so get his ass up to Queens! If he beats the Braves just once this year, it will all have been worth it.

Nice to see Rick Ankiel back in the majors. A three-run blast for the Cardinals last night in his first game back, this time as an outfielder.

I always felt sorry for the guy at the end of his first stint as a pitcher.
