jc4prez
I don't know I've ordered plenty of tickets through ticket bastard and this has never happened. I hope these seats wont be first come first serve.
virtualreason
They can't be because everything in the pavillion is reserved. And that happened to me too...except I got lucky (story to follow tonight) and got section 103 after having 8 tickets fall through my hands via the wonders of the internets. Analogman
this doesn't need its own thread. people here have already discussed the problem and come up with the solution. hint: page 9 I think there are 6 threads about this concert now - maybe 7.
jc4prez
I think there are 6 threads about this concert now - maybe 7. yeah but if they are adressing different issues I dont see what the problem is. Esp. if its not knocking topics off of the front of the board. Considering how many people use this board its actully preety slow moving. Some boards I'm on the front page is constantly changing. How would I know that this issue was dissucsed in that thread?????
LouieB
I understand why there are so many different threads for this one show. It is a big one, 10,000 people are going to view this, perhaps the largest number to ever see a Wilco show outside of one of the larger fests (okay I guess Madison Square Garden is also pretty big,) it is a benefit, rather than a regular concert, it has two different types of seating and it just seems like a big fat deal. It was sold online three different times and in person at the Vic box office as well. I am sure there will be some ticket give aways by a radio station. Also it is the only show in Chicago during any leg of this tour this summer and fall. I started a thread on the actual purpose of this show..which few people are really interested in anyway.. After Ticketbastard gets done with this, I hope the Coalition makes some dough on it. LouieB
Analogman
When one has a question - the less threads one has to search around in - the better. Here - we just start new threads for every question a person has - instead of checking to see if it has already been addressed. I think the admins should start a thread for each show of a tour, pin the thread, and everyone can ask questions, comment, etc. in that one thread. There could be the same deal in the after the show thread. Just a few minutes ago, I was looking for a thread on a certain topic on another board - the search results came back with many pages to dig around in. Why? Because people have posted the same question over and over again - and never took the time to search - or simply post their question in a thread that had already been created. Sometimes, an branch does need to be made - that is, another thread - such as the one you posted. If nothing else, someone could write/pin a thread about the ticketmaster/pre-sale/password deal. I would write it - but I have no experience with such things.
gogo
Yeah, sometimes the number of threads per show or topic or whatever does get out of hand. We do try to merge threads that are on the very same topic (although I just checked, and there do seem to be a couple on the password, which snuck past the moderators ), but I don't have too much of a problem with there being multiple threads on one show, for the ticket sales, roll call, the thread that Lou posted is another good one. The general consensus seems to be that it's a friendlier place all the way around if we don't moderate that kind of stuff too heavily. We're just trying to strike a balance. Analogman
Just as I thought. I don't think this stuff is unfriendly - I think it would rather be a good thing to have a thread pinned about ticketmaster procedures.
