Did you catch the Julian Lennon cameo the first time you saw it?

It seems like I've always known he was there, but did I notice upon first viewing? Frankly, I don't remember... that was 1995, dude.

Oh, sorry. I have an excellent memory.

I know you're not asking me, but I was told "check out the bartender" before I saw it, so I was on lookout. Not for Julian Lennon though!

I think we talked about that here once. I can't remember for sure though.

That impawards site doesn't allow external linking. I'm just saying it because I've seen their logo a lot in Now Watching - instead of whatever movie you watched.

I haven't seen this logo in this thread -- is this a broad problem? I'll link from elsewhere, I just usually look for a good image and preview to see if it works, I've had some links not allow linking, so I go to others. Any suggestions for a "go-to" site that everyone can see?

Who?

Harmony Korine

You should check out Gummo - I bet you knew some dudes like you will find in that film.

I actually have "Kids" in my queue. I will add "Gummo" now.

It is a bit disturbing. If you watch it - I mean no disrespect by what I just said. I knew some dudes like I found in that film. It's set in a rural place.

Though this film is borne out of America's problems in the early 70s (Kent State, Nixon, Cambodia...) a lot of this still rings true. The use of mainly non-actors and the hand held documentary style filming give this movie a semblance of realism that makes it quite effective, regardless of the politics involved.
