froggie
When I say "going to see Wilco", about 75% of the time I get the "who"? question. And this is in Chicago. Either Wilco is still way under the radar or I have incredibly unhip acquaintances. It's probably a combo of the two. I could chart this.... i get the "who's he?" treatment
tugmoose
When I mentioned Neko Case to one otherwise astute guy, he asked what kind of music they played. (He became a big fan). When Lucinda Williams was opening for Neil Young in Columbus, folks wanted to know did she sound like Shania Twain.

hummingBERG
That is a dream show. Tons of Chi-Town folk are driving to Shwill-Town, aka milWOOKee, aka Milwaukee. That is gonna be nanners if they do any collaborations. These are two of my strongest musical influences and the greatest living songwriters on the same stage on the same night. Absolutely amazing. STOKED STOKED STOKED STOKED...... The pain in my A$$ is that I have work in Chicago both days and I am going with my sister to see Regina Spektor the night before so it looks like a lot of back and forth for me that week. Oh well, it's worth it.
