gvenditt09
Does anyone have the show from Wednesday 10/17 at the FOX in Detroit? Everything that's been posted about the show is true - they rocked the place solidly - I need to get my hands on the recording. If you've seen a download for the show or have it please let me know. I have the show from 2006 up in East Lansing and a Tweedy solo living room show from earlier this year (that is amazing) to offer as a trade. Thanks
cryptique
Check here or here later this week and please observe the following message posted at the first link: Please allow a minimum of 1 week after a show before you request it, as a common courtesy to tapers. There are rumors of various recordings that will likely surface. Give them some time.
cbd
at least 2 tapers. One said his recording was poor. the other will be seeding soon at etree. I'll post a link here when I see it up
terrfish
My hubby just told me that Comcast is blocking bit torrents. Anyone else have any further information on this? Just curious.
cbd
not exactly right. They are using a program called "sandvining" to throttle upload speeds and constantly cause disconnections. It doesn't affect downloading, only uploading. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21376597/
smackdexter
has anyone found the video for this show!? I'd love to re-watch it.
Analogman
AUD tape now up Wilco does not allow video taping of shows.
keylime
Wilco does not allow video taping of shows. Proof of this: as someone mentioned in the other Detroit thread, Jeff took away some guy's camera in the front row. I couldn't hear their exchange, but it was somewhat lenghty, and Jeff did not look too happy. Neither did that guy. Thanks for the link to the audio!
Infamous
I was in the 5th row and I asked the guy about it afterwards. He said Jeff confiscated the camara because he was taking pictures. Actually, Jeff was really nice about it. He came out and shook the guy's hand and explained everything to him. I still think Wilco should get involved with these guys; Encore Series. I understand that they have an open-taping policy and that's fine, they can keep that, but I'd like to be able to buy something that was professionally recorded and not have to worry about having something to trade so I can download some guy's bit torrent file. Besides, I ain't got shit to trade anyway. If I ever get the chance to meet Tweedy I'm going to ask him about this.

You don't have to have anything to trade when you do BT - just seed it after you have got it.
quarter23cd
Yep, I see this up on etree...along with every other recent show except the Columbus show--which is the one I'm hoping for. Oh well.

I for one hope Wilco doesn't go the instant live (or "encore series") and start selling their shows. The grassroots, open source taping & trading have helped a lot of non Wilco fans get shown the light over the last few years
