thecowboyangel
After scanning all these posts here I'm suprised I didn't see these three anywhere, GrindermanHelp Wanted Nights-The Good LifeAnonymous-Tomahawk otherwise I endorse most of the stuff previously mentioned. I think Easy Tiger, although it has some great tunes, is Mr. Adams second blandest album, just in front of 29. The live versions are just so much better, the album feels flat. imsjry
Most dissapointing album of the year: Wilco- Sky Blue Sky (Not that it was bad, but when a Wilco record doesn't change my life, it falls under "dissapointing".) Try harder. I actually feel bad for people that cannot "get into" this album.....
imsjry
"Twisted Ear Writers' picks of 07 in fullKev Acott1. Lucinda Williams - West" Finally, SOMEONE else that loves this disc. I certainly wouldn't have called it #1, but top 10 of the year for me. Of course I have 2 slots open that most people don't this year because I don't get the whole Animal Collective thing. Good Old Neon
Phosphorescent - Pride As a fan of their prior release, Aw Come Aw Wry, I picked this up upon release, and, for whatever reason, it did not take. However, I came back to it recently and for the life of me cannot figure why I was not immediately smitten, as I am now. A no brainer for fans of Will Oldham (and his many iterations), Neutral Milk Hotel, Band of Horses (mellower moments) and anyone else who enjoys blissfully melancholic folk.
