sticky2000
Does any of my fellow European Wilco fans feel slightly left out in terms of gigs?? ANOTHER stateside tour has been announced, and then they are onto Australia!! of course by passing us!! Does any one have any idea of when they could possibly be playing the UK and some Europe dates as well? I was devastated when the Birmingham gig was cancelled, I'm desperate to see them now!! Any info on potential dates? Thanks everyone sticky
Ringo
Yeah I was thinking just the same yesterday. I am still gutted that the Manchester show was cancelled, despite seeing Wilco at ATP and Austin this year, its left me hard done by!They still ventured to Europe and took in Dublin too, surely this means us mainlanders in the UK aren't gonna get any shows now?? Please head our way soon, maybe on your way back from Oz?!?!
Welsh Rich
For sure... Did anyone work out what the scheduling clash was in the end??
50footqueenie
I think it's fair to say that a US tour is a lot easier for them to do - it's only 10 days after all. If you look at Wilcobase they've actaully done a lot of gigs in Europe this year - compare that to many other bands at their level. Although it's only 3 weeks since their last gigs in Dublin, I want to see them again soon too, so let's hope there will be more eurogigs in the offing!! It's a drug, isn't it? sticky2000
yeah, but only two mainland UK dates, both in London? i know the UK isnt particularly big compared to the states, but i really really hope they reschedule those dates

Welsh Rich
[sarcasm] Yes, because it's really cheap for 2 people to fly to the US and put oneselves up in a hotel for a couple of days [/sarcasm] I bet if we posted all the US tour dates for the last 12 months in here you'd run out of server space. mjfoas89
Just been doing a little tally over at wilcobase and I'm really surprised by how many mainland Europe shows they've done this year. Here are my findings: australia - 5us&canada - 49europe mainland - 20ireland - 2uk - 5 That's just Wilco shows for 2007, nothing else. You might not think 5 shows is bad, and it's not, don't get me wrong but, 2 London gigs, 2 festival gigs (Suffolk and Somerset!!!! - not helping us northerners) and 1 in Glasgow - all the extremes. At least we've done a little better than 2006, 0 shows, so even though I never got to see them I'm not bitter. Maybe next autumn.
Welsh Rich
Sure - I think I just get jealous about missing out on the solo shows and other bits and pieces Wilco find themselves doing in the US (Living room shows etc)... but there we go, I guess there's bands / artists I get to see that some people in the US don't... it's all swings and roundabouts!! pillowy star
What Rich said. I feel really spoilt by the "normal" shows they did this year in Central Europe (although we could only attend 3), but I feel seriously left out & ignored when it comes to solo shows & especially the living room show opportunities. I am sure there would be 20 people in Europe that are willing to donate 1000$ each to set up a show in my living room Oh well. I guess it's just not gonna happen
Welsh Rich
Perhaps if I win the lottery I'll see what I can do
