Guest Jules
You are kidding right? Right...? Sigh, I guess not. ... The only thing I can think of are that some people are loyal to party regardless and that some people only want whatever they can get and don't really think about tomorrow for our country. I'm done, I'm not going to sway you and you won't sway me.I'm not looking to sway you or be swayed, and I don't think I am one of the "some people" you describe above. I was just looking for clarification and more detail. Edit: the estate tax is fair though. Of that much I am sure.

Analogman
Rebate checks diverted to pay $2B in debts By Dennis Cauchon, USA TODAY About $2 billion in economic stimulus rebate checks are being confiscated to pay overdue bills for child support, students loans and back taxes, the government says. So far, 1.8 million rebate checks have been intercepted by Treasury Department computers showing that individuals owe money to federal or state governments. The biggest beneficiaries: parents who are owed child support. The Internal Revenue Service has mailed 77 million checks worth $64 billion
uncle wilco
i guess we'll be expecting another round of stimulus checks according to obama's press conference the other day. he promises a second round of checks once he's prez, so it's not just a bush gimmick after all. vote for barack and another $300-$1200 will magically appear in your mailbox. yay!
