Sir Stewart
Can we get JJ Abrams to start work on remakes of the original 3 Star Wars flicks? I know this one isn't a remake - but still, the time has come.

jimmyjimmy
To me, Star Trek II was the GOAT. If by GOAT you mean "The Shit", then yeah I'd have to agree with you.(The GOAT?? ) A Trek geek from way back. "Let your geekdom shine". Not terribly excited about this...yet.Although Simon Pegg as Scotty seems an amusing notion...as does the inclusion of the character of Captain Pike. Captain Christopher "Fu**ing" Pike, man. *Beeeeep* *Beeeeep*

Mrs. Peel
When I hear the word Goat, I think of this. That's what my mom drives. She calls it a goat too. Why is that its nickname? Was everybody dyslexic back then?
Analogman
That's what my mom drives. She calls it a goat too. Why is that its nickname? Was everybody dyslexic back then? She has a 68 69 70 or 71 right? The name, which was DeLorean's idea, was inspired by the Ferrari 250 GTO, the highly successful race car. It is an acronym for Gran Turismo Omologato, Italian for homologated for racing in the GT class. The name drew protest from purists, who considered it close to sacrilege. Although Pontiac had strenuously promoted the GTO in advertising as the "GTO Tiger," it had become known in the youth market as the "Goat." Pontiac management attempted to make use of the new nickname in advertising but were vetoed by upper management, which was dismayed by its irreverent tone.
Mrs. Peel
Right, a '68. She loves that car more than life itself. When we went to FL a few weeks ago I gave her a gift of driving a NASCAR car on a racetrack. I think her max speed was 122, which unfortunately was as fast as they'd let a rookie driver go. She was over the moon. I certainly did not get that speed gene.
Analogman
I think the fastest I have ever been was 135 or so - in a 1969 Corvette on the interstate.
Mrs. Peel
I didn't say that's the fastest she's ever driven, it's just the fastest she's ever driven legally. Jeez, I can't believe I'm talking about my mother. WHERE DID I COME FROM??!!! OK, back to Star Trek....Wil Wheaton rules!
