OOO
I took it like a year ago, wasn't too bad. Works better if you have multiple people in the same room so you can quickly shout out answers.

Duck-Billed Catechist
There was a thread about this a couple years ago and a bunch of us took it. A couple VCers did well including Wheelco, IIRC.

Seems like I remember someone from this board qualifying for the show but I don't know if he/she actually competed.

cryptique
Has anyone ever taken this? If so, what was it like? My brother and sister in law are going to try it tonight.I took it last spring(?). I received a message a while later inviting me to a contestant audition in Chicago, which consisted of a written test followed by a simulated game of Jeopardy with the other people in my session (there were about 20 of us, I think). I'm now in the contestant pool, and with luck I'll get the call to go to L.A. to be on the show. If that doesn't happen before my time in the pool expires, I'll just take the online test again sometime in the future.  So did you ever hear from any Jeopardy people? IATTBYB
I took the original online test in ~March '06, was contacted by e-mail for an audition in Chicago in June '06, but never got the call to be on the show. Out of the 25 people who were in my audition group, I know that at least 2 got the call to appear on the show. In fact, one of them ended up coming in 2nd place in the most recent Tournament of Champions. I could not take the Jan. '07 on-line test because it was less than 1 year since my audition. Now that the year has passed, I'm jumping in again tonight. I can't wait.

Three dollars and 63 cents
I'm glad this thread was today, because I would've been too late to take it tomorrow. I start in a little less than 7 minutes. That gives me plenty of time to think of the pointless factoid about myself I can chat with Alex Trebek about should I make it to the actual show.
