bböp
I think someone posted a setlist in the webcast thread in Just A Fan, but here it is for good measure (and I was fortunate to be at the show, so I was able to see when the Total Pros were playing, which might not always have come through over the Internet): (Was I) In Your Dreams (w/Total Pros horns)Pieholden Suite w/TPs; Nels on banjo and tambourine)You Are My FaceCompany In My BackImpossible GermanyHandshake DrugsA Shot in the ArmPot Kettle BlackSide With The SeedsPick Up The ChangeHesitating BeautyJesus, etc.Heavy Metal DrummerNothing'severgonnastandinmyway(again)A Magazine Called SunsetToo Far ApartTheologiansWalken (w/TPs)I'm The Man Who Loves You (w/TPs)------------------------------------------What Light (w/TPs)Hate It Here (w/TPs; dedicated to Tony Sansone-Pat's dad, I believe.)The Thanks I Get (w/TPs)Just A KidMonday>Outtasite (Outta Mind)Casino QueenI'm A WheelThe Late Greats (w/TPs) A couple of notes:The first third or so of the set was kind of derailed by Jeff's run-ins with a jackass down front. I'm pretty sure he was one of the guys wearing the misspelled "John Stirot's Fan Club" T-shirts that both Jeff (and John Doe) ridiculed. He was apparently recording with a handheld camcorder and Jeff saw it and literally leaned out into the crowd and took it away from him. The guy got it back after the show, but you've got to be kidding me. That was after "You Are My Face." Then, right before Pick Up The Change, the guy started heckling Jeff or something and they basically got into a brief back-and-forth. Anyway, that was weird. This was sadly the last show for the Total Pros, as Jeff mentioned. The DVD crew said they'll be at the Tulsa show and that's it for them (no Houston or Des Moines). John Doe's set absolutely killed tonight. I just loved the orginal stuff they played, including the great "The Golden State," and "Hwy. 5" which I don't think I had seen them play yet on this tour (edit: I had, but it's still a great song). And then the covers...they did Joni Mitchell's A Case of You (which I hadn't been fortunate to see yet) and of course just tore the place up with Nels' help on their set-ending version of the Stones' "Gimme Shelter." And on top of that, we got the New World-Revolution segue as well.

Edie
Total drag about the Total Pros! I think they add a lot of dimension to certain songs and are not at all corny or schmaltzy, which horns can easily be. C'mon, let's all agree to pay more per ticket and get them on tour more often! Jim Boeheim
This was a great show. It was interesting though, because I thought something was missing during the first few songs, I don't know, it just seemed slightly off to me compared to the other times I've seen the band. But then after a few songs, something just really clicked and it was a total 180 and it was fantastic, one of the most enjoyable shows I've been to really. The band looked like they were having a great time, especially Nels. After "what light" which opened the second set, it was all electric and just really rockin'. Other than the slight discomfort of being packed in like sardines, Tipitina's was an awesome place to see Wilco. All in all, it was a blast.
sky blue bats
no total pros tommorrow for me :ohwell
paauwe
no more total prose!?!?!?!?!? bummer! but no way is that the last of them we will see with wilco though. Im pumped for this dvd. For at least the past four or five shows they've been playing Pieholden Suite. Therefor i believe its pretty safe to say they are aiming for that to be on the DVD. Gobias Industries
Daaaaaaamn Just a Kid? These set lists are...I have to say it...really ballin'.
theleonard
I was standing by 1 of the 3 tapers for the Wed. night show. Watched one guy's equip. while he hit the bar/restroom. Should be emailing me with a copy of the show. Will share if I can. Also, Jeff said something about having a tube shoved down his nose due to throat problems. Not sure if that threw off some momentum.
ITMWHY
Was anyone able to capture the actual stream from wilcoworld? That sounded amazing.

I think the TPs have energized the band.

Matt78777
Tweedy Stole my Kamera http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWg39PBFIfg Seriously? That was you? It was kinda lame actually. I dont' get why people try to videotape concerts. It doesn't matter how good your camera is, it's NEVER the same, and you ruin the experience by not focusing on the band, not to mention get the band all pissy and mad. willeekinz
Tweedy Stole my Kamera http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWg39PBFIfg HAHAHA THAT IS AWESOME! Seriously? That was you? It doesn't matter how good your camera is, it's NEVER the same, and you ruin the experience by not focusing on the band, not to mention get the band all pissy and mad. Nobody was pissy and mad in the slightest, I guess you just had to be there - and after making that bold statement, dont let us ever catch you watching a single Youtube video! Ever! Incredible times in NOLA thank you SO MUCH Jeff John and the Stirrat family YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST and we will never forget it!!
Rag319
dude put that video back up. I need to see it. I was up in the balcony and saw the whole thing and was laughing my ass off.

Sorry, re-uploaded it this afternoon after some more editing and the board was down. I've modified the original post with the link. The shows were ridiculously hurtfully wonderful, eh? I had such a great time.
Skulls Ruggins
To those who misunderstood the situation, we had given John Stirratt a shirt and one for his wife too. He thought it was hilarious. Additionally, I think my buddy hooked him up with one for his dad. They were just ribbing us and we ribbed them back all in good fun. Tweedy was not pissed and in fact, he apologized two songs later mentioning the fact that there were already pro cameras shooting. Seriously? That was you? It was kinda lame actually. I dont' get why people try to videotape concerts. It doesn't matter how good your camera is, it's NEVER the same, and you ruin the experience by not focusing on the band, not to mention get the band all pissy and mad. There was a few of us. Also, it was never my intention to tape the entire show. What show have they played since the uprise of digital video where someone didn't tape something and post it on YouTube or where ever. I think assuming that the band gets pissed is not quite true; evidenced by their relatively relaxed attitude towards sharing music. They had a sense of humor about the whole thing. An audience member should also have a sense of humor because taking the experience to seriously is what really ruins shows, me thinks. Anyways, I've seen hundreds of shows over the years and many Wilco shows taboot, but those two nights were amazing. Two of the best shows I've seen. They're playing at the top of their game right now and I was honored to witness it and can't wait for the DVD / recordings. That room is so small and the sound was wicked. Being blown away two nights in a row in one of my favorite towns by one of my favorite bands made for an unforgettable experience. Not to mention enjoying the company of new friends! Rag319
I want to see the part where Jeff leans over the front of the stage and demands your Kamera. That was awesome.

Yeah man thanks for the explanation. I was a few people back and wasn't there the first night, and I had no idea what your shirt said or what was going on. It's pretty funny and glad to hear it was all in fun for both sides.
