Twisted Acres
just in case you might know someone looking for something to do in NYC on monday night... beer is relatively cheap, and now that CBs is gone it might be the most historic still-open venue along Bleecker. Chris Kuffner, our bass player, is the producer and primary player on Ingrid Michaelson's last two albums. All of a sudden that shit has blown up (which absolutely no one expected) and he'll be on the road with Ingrid opening for Ray LaMontagne this summer. They're also playing the Mile High Festival in July with the Black Crowes and some less-noteworthy mainstream superstars. YAY Chris! We're opening for the Oz Noy Trio... the guy is an out-of-his-mind guitarist who usually has Will Lee and Anton Fig or Keith Carlock as his rhythm section, Dave Weckl plays with him if he's in town. Embarrassed to say I've missed so many of those (May at Rockwood is looking strong, though.) Hope your pipes are feeling better and see you soon. Actually, really soon!
