bobbob1313
Sounds very similar to Pascal's Wager. I knew deep down you were a religious fanatic. If you weren't a crazy religious fanatic hell bent on making sure same sex marriage never happens, I'd ask you to marry me for this line alone.
Good Old Neon
It makes a lot more sense to me that climate change is due to natural cycles. The climate has never been stable in the past. It's gone through dramatic changes long before humans existed. I also find it too much of a coincidence that the ice caps on Mars are also melting. It's more likely that both planets are being warmed by the same cause (the sun) than different causes. That

Good Old Neon
It's based on faith in computer models and simulations that may or may not be accurate. I'm skeptical not of global warming, but of human impact on it. But I've never heard of this guy. True, but it

WilcoFan
The solution is simple: Eventually the planet earth (mother nature) will rid itself of humans and naturally "cure" itself. Whatever that means.

Griddles
Who cares if the earth is warming? We will all be dead by the time it gets really bad or one of the many saviors of the world will have comeback and taken all the good people away. Plus everyone likes warmer weather. As for cooling in the 1970's that was due to the large amounts of really cool people alive then. We are heating up because we have less cool people and more hot people. Good Old Neon
So we have climate models that show, based on results of past models, what the global climate is going to do over the next fifty years? TheMaker
Here's all the proof I need to convince me that global warming is real and has reached a plateau worthy of panic: it was 106 fucking degrees where I live last fall on Canadian Thanksgiving. I'll be shocked like I cannot even express if we don't have a number of 100+ degree days again this year in May. Each year, the smog/heat/humidity becomes more and more unbearable, and I do not use that word lightly. Sothern Ontario is basically Africa now in the summer. This isn't normal. Period. There are some prices that are just not worth paying to save the world: Irony or no, this is a perfect encapsulation of conservatism: money first, real and important things second (if at all). And that's why you're an artist and not a scientist. Irony or no, this is a perfect encapsulation of conservatism: money first, real and important things second (if at all). Well, I'm glad you've got the whole thing encapsulated. If you actually read the article, it's pretty clear that biofuels do not reduce greenhouse gases; they just raise the price of food and beer, two things that are very real and important and cannot normally be obtained without this money of which you think so little. Good Old Neon
And that's why you're an artist and not a scientist. What difference does it make given that it appears as though you disagree with the scientific consensus w/r/t climate change?

Wait a second; Canada is not a utopia where food, clothing, healthcare and kitties are all supplied at no cost to its citizenry? Also more proof of global warming: April 10, 2008 Parts of North Dakota and Minnesota are pounded with over 10 inches of snow resulting in business and road closures. Nidhi Sharma - AHN News Writer Santiago, Chile (AHN) - Melting ice from a glacier in southern Chile has caused a glacial lake to empty suddenly, sending a sudden rush of water rolling through a river. However, no one was injured in the area. Global warming and rising world temperatures caused water to fill the Cachet Lake and increased pressure on the ice sheet. Melting water from the Colonia glacier gradually caused a 5-mile tunnel through the glacier that emptied into the Baker River on April 6, according to The Associated Press. The lake was nearly full again by late Wednesday. Record high temperatures during the recent Southern Hemisphere summer caused the melting of large masses of ice, which further swelled some lakes. In 2007, rising temperatures led to the disappearance of the Tempano Lake in Chile's Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. It has since recovered some of its former volume.
