Are you referring to the Dylan tune? You might give this a try (It's from a Dylan tab site)

http://dylanchords.info/

Capo 4

C F Csus4 C

What good am I if I'm like all the rest

C F C F C

If I just turn away when I see how you're dressed

Am Em

If I shut myself off so I can't hear you cry

F C F C

What good am I ?

What good am I if I know and don't do

If I see and don't say if I look right through you

If I turn a deaf ear to the thunderin' sky

What good am I ?

What good am I while you softly weep

And I hear in my head what you say in your sleep

And I freeze in the moment like the rest who don't try

What good am I ?

Am

What good am I then to others and me

Em

If I've had every chance and yet still fail to see

Am /d (n.c.) Am

If my hands are tied must I not wonder within

Em Dm

Who tied them and why and where must I have been.

What good am I if I say foolish things

And I laugh in the face of what sorrow brings

And I just turn my back while you silently die

What good am I ?

yes I am referring to the Wilco book cd....Why in the hell would I go to a wilco message board and ask tabs for a bob dylan song.....Are you that ignorant about Wilco's songs?, or are you being a smartass?

Copping a bitchy attitude and calling people ignorant probably isn't going to help your cause with getting someone to tab this out for you...Just a heads up.

It takes time for someone to figure it out and tab it. It's not a very popular tune and, if someone already has it tabbed out, I'd be truly surprised. Give 'em some time.

Agreed. I was going to try and help out but saw that post (and the impatient 2nd post) and changed my mind. I love helping out but not when people act like jerks.

  • 2 weeks later...

I've listened to this a couple times and I think it sorta goes like this:

E--------------------------------------------------------

B----4---------------2-----------------0----------0-----

G--------4---------------1-----------------1---1-------

D-----------4---------------2------1-------------------

A----2---------------0-------------2-------------------

E------------------------------------------------0-------

Chords:

B - x2444x

Amaj7 - x02120

G#m - x2110x (or alternately) B - 7644xx

E - 022100

Hope that helps out somewhat.

no no no

I always thought he said "blind woman in advertising," but your interpretation makes SO much more sense! :lol

I thought that too, until I listened real close to the lyrics. Either that, or I stole those lyrics from someplace, else, I can't can't remember. Either way, "blind women in advertising" is a much better line :).
