Another great opening act by RGC, even got to briefly meet Alan Sparhawk and Eric Pollard after the show.

Wilco, for the second night in a row for us, was as good if not better than our high expectations. Alot of repeats from the night before, but the songs they repeated are great songs, so that's ok. Some nice surprises too.

Hummingbird

You Are My Face

Company In My Back

Impossible Germany

Handshake Drugs

Jesus Etc.

Pot Kettle Black

Shot In The Arm

She's A Jar

Side With The Seeds

Shake It Off

One By One

That's Not The Issue

Summerteeth

Via Chicago

I'm The Man Who Loves You

Poor Places

Spiders

Walken

Christ For President

Hate It Here

Heavy Metal Drummer

Red-Eyed And Blue

I Got You

Casino Queen

Outtasite (Outta Mind)

On Impossible Germany Nels blew the solo out of the water. Jeff even made a comment after the song that the solo was punishing for Nels, and we're even now, after the long delay from the chicken pox cancellation. I LOVED Summerteeth, and Company In My Back, and Pot Kettle Black for the second night in a row was a treat. They were having a great time on stage, alot of laughs and impromptu moments. I love it when you can clearly see a performer is having fun on stage, and not taking themselves too seriously. But, Jeff made some snippy comments about talking during the show as well, and about the youth of the majority of the audience at the front of the stage, saying how they seemed to be mostly in their "tweens".

I think Red-Eyed and Blue was the grand prize for me from these two nights. It's the first Wilco song I ever heard, right after Being There came out, and it's the one that got me hooked.

I am tired, and I am going to bed now.

That's not too many repeats man??????????

This may be one of the first HB openers I've seen, and random placement of songs, I would be pretty extactic. This will be one of very few that I'll keep in my cataloge for this tour!

Lucky !

Wow, I would love to hear any of these in NM, specifically, "Summerteeth" and "Christ For President". Do you know if anyone tapped this show?

Nice looking setlist. For my money a Poor Places > Spiders combo is still one of my favorite things they do. :thumbup

I had an account here the last time Wilco came through, but I couldn't remember it since it's been so long...

Thanks so much for putting up the setlist! What a show! I had this huge grin the whole time. There were so many highlights, but the three that stood out the most were:

1. That solo on Impossible Germany. It was utterly mind-blowing! Nels was a force!

2. The mini drum solos during Via Chicago which brought the crowd to a frenzy.

3. Spiders (Kidsmoke). Jeff had the crowd clapping along during a break in the song and then the band led right back into it!

The band were so on tonight and they did look like they were having fun. I found Jeff to be really engaging and witty, whether he was chiding the "douchebags" to his right, making fun of people wearing sunglasses at the show (who does that?) or joking with a young girl in a homemade Wilco shirt. The chemistry and musicianship was incredible and seemed so natural. It was one of the few times that I've actually left a concert feeling utterly satisfied. Definitely the best show that I've seen in a while.

The funny thing is that I actually had plans when this show was announced and wasn't going to go. Only when Retribution Gospel Choir was announced as the opener did I decide that I had to go since I'm a huge Low fan.

If anyone cares, here is the setlist for Retribution Gospel Choir's opening set.

Hatchet

They Knew You Well

Take Your Time

Breaker

Somebody's Someone

Destroyer

Holes In Our Heads

What She Turned Into

For Her Blood

Kids

Easy Prey

I kind of knew what to expect from them and they didn't disappoint. It was as if Alan was finally able to exorcise all his pent-up classic rock-isms and rock star moves from all his years playing at the lugubrious and slow pace in Low. It was great!

We loaded up on merch too. We bought the Wilco Book, Jeff's poetry book, Sky Blue Sky on vinyl, two of the "Wilco Now." buttons, and my wife got the scarf for herself.

I saw a dude with some gear set up right beside the sound guy, but I am not sure if he was taping the show or not.

I am still floored by these two nights of Wilco, and yes, words cannot even describe Nels last night. He was a man possessed.

But now, my bank account and my body will thank me as there are no more long road trips or shows for a while.

first time i've seen them. i was really impressed. the sound was great.

jeff was saying that it was a request show and he couldn't believe some sicko (or something of the sort) actually requested "that's not the issue". he was asking the audience who requested that song....it was pretty funny.

i think the highlights for me were....hummingbird as the opening, via chicago, and the rockin version of red-eyed and blue.

Fantastic show! fifth time I've seen Wilco and this was one of the best! Up-close, great sound, nice light show and the usual yahoos talking during the quieter songs (Jeff knew where they were ,douchebags!!).

Speaking of taping, I just happened to record the show from 4th row. Unfortunately I'm leaving for Toronto in 5 hours and won't be back until Tuesday. Be patient and I'll upload the show when I get back and I'll post the link where I posted the show. Listened to it at work today and it sounds great!

YAY Binky! :thumbup Looking forward to your recording, and glad you got a great show to make up for the unavoidably-cancelled one last year!

Well, this leads me to believe that even one request for a song might/does get played. Hopefully, they will play my request in NM because I am sure I am the only person to request it.

We're coming from the Phoenix area too (Mesa). I'm requesting "When The Roses Bloom Again" and my brother is requesting "I'm Always In Love".

Thanks for the boot, binky. We were in the fourth row as well, stage left.

The boot sounds great! Many great memories to listen to over and over again.
