lamradio
After nearly eight months of anticipation, the show is only two weeks away. watch me fall and I were discussing that we should find a place near the venue to get together beforehand since a few VCers will be there. The only place I know of is the Sportz Cafe. Yeah, it's kind of a dive (at least it was when I was there a couple years ago) but it's really close the the venue and it has lots of beer and food. Anyone have another place in mind?

Anyone have another place in mind? We're going to be staying at a La Quinta in about 5 miles from there. Of course, if we were staying at a Holiday Inn Express, I would be sitting in with the band. lamradio
Yeah, I think we're staying at the Red Roof.. It's not the Ritz Carlton by far, but its close to the venue and it has a bed. How do you know the Wilcos will be at the Holiday Inn Express?

How do you know the Wilcos will be at the Holiday Inn Express?I'm sure they're not. It was a joke, based on the series of commercials. Sorry. (EDIT: From wikipedia: In the mid-2000s, Holiday Inn Express began producing humorous television commercials featuring "average Joes" performing extraordinary activities that only experts would know. The concept attributes these exaggerated abilities to the fact that they "stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night".)

In the Cary thread there was a concerted effort to push Dreamer to the top of the list for Charleston. I think Airline was getting a similar treatment, but it may have been for Cary, not Charleston. I had tried my lobbying powers to put Remember the Mountain Bed on Jacksonville's list, but it barely breaks the top 10 ... err 5?

watch me fall
Looks like someone ran Cousin Tupelo off...guess we won't be meeting him before the show. Oh well. Anyway... Matt, I was talking to my brother over the weekend and he mentioned there was a mall near the PAC. He's actually been to the convention center on business and stayed in one of the hotels right there. He said he thought there was a Buffalo Wild Wing nearby. Do you know of any of this?

The one about the certain VCers that love to screw with people... Yeah, oh well. There is indeed a Wild Wings right down the street from the PAC. I've never been to one, but I've heard good things so it looks like you've found a winner. Buffalo Wild Wings - North Charleston Cool. So this will be our pre-show hangout? Anyone else want to meet?
