replacements75
Just wanted to let everyone know about this. Should be a great collaboration. I've seen both Glenn solo and the Kronos Quartet by themselves and they both put on a great show. Glenn is unveiling a new piece written specifically to played with the Kronos Quartet so it shoudl be really cool.
Preferred B
Yep, see this account of Glenn and the Kronos Quartet performing at Ravinia on 9/3, and this one from the first time they performed together last fall. The Zankel Hall show should be great. (Astute readers will note that it's the same night as Neil Young's second Toronto show.)
barnyard pimp
Uh oh. Does this mean no Wilco for Toronto night 2? (OK, clearly it does. Shit.)
bböp
Uh oh. Does this mean no Wilco for Toronto night 2? (OK, clearly it does. Shit.) Replacement drummer! All-acoustic set! Who knows?
barnyard pimp
When I wrote that, the date wasn't on wilcoworld -- now it is. Huh. They're listed on Ticketmaster and Livenation, too, so... could be interesting!

replacements75
Hmmmm, I wonder. I sincerely hope that the Carnegie show is on but of course I would understand if it got postponed for the "money" gig. I'd be upset if its only Kronos Quartet even though I know they are wonderful I was mostly interested to see them with Kotche. Though I think that I would be equally disappointed to see Wilco without Glenn if I were going to the Toronto show.
LouieB
I am sure you can find out if Glenn is playing with them. It is certainly not a given that he is playing if they are playing. They have to keep working even if he is not available. LouieB
