LouieB
They released the entire show a few years back. What is this now?? You gotta love Columbia for changing up on fans constantly and rerere-issuing the same material with more added. LouieB

I think Folsom was recorded back in '68 and went to #1, so they decided to record another prison album and chose San Quentin to play at in '69. think that one hit #1 as well. Sir Stewart
They released the entire show a few years back. What is this now??This looks like a shit-ton more than what's available here: http://www.amazon.com/At-Folsom-Prison-Joh...h/dp/B000028U0YOr is there another release you're talking about? GtrPlyr
I really dug the San Quentin box set they released a while back. I'm sure I'll be upgrading to this Folsom Prison set too.

It was billed as the complete concert, but clearly they have found other material, either additional material from this show, or if there were more than one show, or rehersals or whatever. Once again Sony/Columbia has found a way to pick our pockets...you gotta give them credit. I never bought the full San Quentin one. When you listen to these albums (in any configuration including the original vinyl releases), the Rick Rubin material, while interesting, still pales by comparison.
