What the best seats you had for a concert?

Recommended Posts

Not that many seated shows over here, usually GA on the floor. But here's my list:

Front row dead center for Bob Dylan this rummer. Arena show.

Front row for Neil Young twice (2008 and 2001), but off to the side. Arena shows.

Front row dead center for Sigur Ros in a small theater back in 2002

Wilco fifth row, London Hammersmith 2005

Pearl Jam and REM in Seattle 2001, photo pit in front of front row ;)

GA front row for too many bands to remember, Wilco included.

i forgot to mention, bob dylan at a small club show down here in 1998..... 2 meters away from him, with lots of eye contact

Nice! I forgot to mention Zappa, front row at a small club show here in 1984 - lots of eye contact as well!

> I don't recall you mentioning that before.

it was a warm up show for the australian shows. i had to queue up for about 15 hours waiting for tickets to go on sale. ther sleepless night was worth by getting the longest show of the year with the most varied setlist. we all ended up getting sore backs from being squashed like sardines in there.

I had never stood in line for tickets - or to get into a show until we were at one of the Kicking Television shows in Chicago. Speaking of that, there was a dude behind us who had just got there only moments before. He is actually the voice you hear yell HEAVY METAL DRUMMER on the cd - if it is on there - it has been a long time since I listened to that album.

also numerous times we had beautiful tickets at GD thanks to the tribes diligence around the mail ins and the art of the envelope :dancing
