LouieB
First time in what....15 years...I hope he makes some serious bread on this thing.... LouieB
Lammycat
Currently, there's a really good documentary on him on the Sundance channel. ed. Thinking about the mystic sounds that can be gotten up at Red Rocks and Cohen and his band is tempting....
dondoboy
OH MAN LEONARD COHEN IN DETROIT!!!!!
Kalle
I'll probably go to London or Ottawa as we had tickets for his Kitchener show on the last tour yet we were unable to go so, coincidentally enough we gave the tickets to a girl we knew who went out with Cohen's son back in his monk days. Supposedly it was a very good show!
dondoboy
First time in what....15 years...I hope he makes some serious bread on this thing.... LouieBAt the ticket prices I just saw, he should do just fine.

cryptique
At the ticket prices I just saw, he should do just fine.Assuming he sells them. I confess to not really knowing anything about his following ... can he fill venues this large? He's playing the Fox in Detroit, which seats over 5,100.
So Long
boy, I'd love to go... but anything over $50...I dunno

He's playing the Fox in Detroit, which seats over 5,100.Actually I think he can. Well maybe not in cash strapped Detroit, but everywhere else he certainly will. I would even spend the dough if it weren't right around Rosie's graduation. He has a rabid and older fan base that has known his work for years. Many older artists charge this kind of money and sell quite well. There is a nice article about him in the Trib today. LouieB
c.lo
I can't find any info on the Ontario shows.
dondoboy
The Fox doesn't really have any bad seats. And its worth the 50+ bucks just to walk around in there. I'm going, even if I have to sell a kidney. (Seeing Wilco there was unbelievable).
BewlayBrother
I got tickets for the Austin show this morning. It's at the newest and swankiest venue in town, with prices ranging from $85.50 to over $500 for VIP treatment. I scored center seats, fifth row lower mezzanine and feel comfortable paying half the price of orchestra tix and the same as those in the back of the balcony. Though I must admit this and Neko in the same week have eaten up my discretionary income until probably July.
HungryHippo
just found out that Leonard Cohen will be in my town next month! here are the current tour dates: Buy NowThe beautiful new film by director Murray Lerner pairs the breathtaking performance by Cohen with interviews of festival attendees and musicians Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson and Judy Collins, as well as a look at the sometimes-hostile and often-profound atmosphere of the weekend-long festival for 600,000. The accompanying CD includes the complete audio of Cohen's performance: 14 previously unreleased songs, plus the poetry, stories and musings that tamed and awed the incendiary crowdClick here for full track listBuy NowThe same, complete mesmerizing performance from the CD on audiophile-grade vinyl in a deluxe gatefold jacket.Click here for full track list * 10/17 Ft. bigshoulders
they have some really decent seats available for the Durham show which made me quite excited, then i noticed the price...$250+! i just preordered the upcoming Isle of Wight vinyl which automatically enters you into a drawing for free gig tix. we'll see what happens I bought one of the cheapest seats in the house for the DPAC show in Durham. I didn't want all the cheap seats to sell out before I pulled the trigger. After all, the worst seat in the house is still in the house. I'm looking forward to seeing Lenny live. I never thought it would happen, least of all in Durham! Anyone going to the Durham show care to meet up before the show? Kevin
