Mr. Heartbreak
Bruce Cockburn! He's an incredible guitar player, singer and songwriter. One of the best performers I have ever seen. He's won several Juno awards (the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy, I'm told), and is a national treasure there. In his 60s now, but still performing. I especially recommend Humans, Dancing in the Dragon's Jaws, In the Falling Dark and Stealing Fire.
stagerug
Bruce Cockburn! I have never heard of him, but that may be the best rock 'n' roll name I have ever heard. Bruce f'ing Cockburn...
GtrPlyr
I have never heard of him, but that may be the best rock 'n' roll name I have ever heard. Bruce f'ing Cockburn...It's actually pronounced Co-burn. When I was younger I remember my friends and I would sometimes say the name as it's written though .

cryptique
Has anyone else seen the new Kids In The Hall show, "Death Comes to Town"? I think it may only be available on CBC for now, but those of us in southeast Michigan get CBC on our cable systems, so we can watch it. I missed the first episode, but saw the second one this past Tuesday. Honestly, I wasn't all that wild about it. Instead of their familiar sketch-comedy format, this has a linear narrative to it, with each Kids member playing multiple characters in the town of Shuckton, Ontario. The mayor of the town is murdered and stuffed into his mailbox, and the cops are trying to get to the bottom of it. And, supposedly, hilarity ensues -- except that I haven't seen all that much hilarity yet. Episode descriptions here Just wondering if anyone else has seen it and formed an opinion. GtrPlyr
^^ We set the DVR to record that but for some reason the 1st episode didn't record and the 2nd only recorded for 17 mins. I guess I'll be downloading them.
