Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is proud to present "Ashes of American Flags" at this year's festival.

 

"Boasting stunning cinematography and incredible musical performances, Ashes follows Chicago-based alt-rock band Wilco - described by Rolling Stone as "one of America's most consistently interesting bands" and "America's foremost rock impressionists" - on their extensive 2008 tour."

Ticket Info: Prices are $12 for screenings before 11 p.m., and $5 after 11 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.hotdocs.ca, by phone 416-637-5150, or in person at The Documentary Box Office, Hazelton Lanes - Lower Level, 55 Avenue Road.

 

Box Office Hours:

March 16 - April 29

Monday to Friday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Too bad the screenings weren't before the DVD release. Nevertheless it would be great to see it on a big screen. I'll have to see if I can make one of these.

That was a fun time, I'd forgot what a huge cinema the Bloor is. The presenter announced herself as a huge Wilco fan, Canty and Green were there too and they did a Q&A afterwards that was pretty nice. Good film. Not exactly what I was expecting, but very enjoyable.

We saw it at the Royal last night. Canty & Green were there too doing Q&A (said they were working on something for Eddie Vedder's solo tour next).

Not what I expected either, was thinking more commentary.

Movie was great, loved seeing "Wishful Thinking".

 

Went to Sneaky Dee's afterwards to meet a friend & they played Wilco for about an hour!
