Ghost of Electricity
This is partially inspired by the "let's do this right" thread, where i posited that great songwriting carries beyon the original performance/recording. So I went looking. Of course there's lots of sub-par stuff out there, but I tried to weed those out. Here are some initial findings: forget the flowers Laminated Cat

Moss
That version of How to fight loneliness is fantastic. Wow. Not bad at all. Laminated Cat could have done with some editing.

choo-choo-charlie
The Swedish cover of "Jesus, Etc." is great, although the overall vibe of the video looks more well-suited for a funeral. Now, switching gears, this is beyond adorable:
Ghost of Electricity
handshake drugs as done by a vc'ers band. there's a thread in SST about this. edit: omigosh- that's 200 posts. What does that mean?

shoesgetcold3
JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound just got themselves a new fan. And with their next two performances at Pritzker and the Hideout, count me in.

Gobias Industries
Jesus, etc. in Swedish easily rivals Wilco's. Depending on the day...better.

Interesting use of a guitar lick during a solo from "At Least That's What You Said." Like the voice, could probably do without the violin, or at least used in smaller doses throughout the track. Overall, a pretty good take on it!
jmacomber68w
Jesus, etc. in Swedish easily rivals Wilco's. Depending on the day...better. I agree. I wonder what would happen if Sigur Ros and Wilco worked together? I can imagine the beauty of a Wilco song sung in "Hopelantic"
