Wilco's opening statements

It's pretty hard to pick, but I'm sure everyone will lead towards "I am trying to Break your Heart" and "Misunderstood" with "At least that's what you said" in third. What do I know though.

I always smile when the drum fill of "I Must Be High" kicks in. The first opener on the first Wilco album gets my vote.

I would say with most bands the first track first album. They have to grab the listeners attention immediatley and they only get 1 shot! I Must be High for me!

Doesn't that song kind of set new grounds for Wilco. It was the end to a new beginning, or was it "Misunderstood"?

I voted for Can't stand it -- I just love the way it is sooo loud to open the record. I am slightly biased as Summerteeth is the only studio record I listen to with any regularity.

When I saw them, they walked out onto the Stubbs Amphitheater, with a Jeff Tweeedy delaying. He finally crossed the stage wearing his Harmonica contraption choosing to start the night off with "Sunken Treasure".

 

They closed the night ending with Hoodoo Voodoo

the only time i saw them live they opened with via chicago, i freaked, but it was also the first song ive ever heard them play live.
