travistunes
What is the name of the song Wilco perform towards the end of I am trying to break your heart that ends with the band members saying "Nothing!" pause "Nothing" pause "Nothing" over and over? It is a great jam and I am not sure what song it is. I think it might be "Nothings (evergonnastandinmyway) but if it is, it is a different version of it with that ending. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

choo-choo-charlie
I think SpeedRacer was a tad shocked at the question posed in the thread...
travistunes
You mean as if to say speed racer can't beliebe I asked a question that might make me sound like a dumb Wilco fan? I am brand new here, but have always had little tolerance for "fan police." SO I wasn't familiar with the song, but liked it so I asked. Geez sorry. Get over it. Guest Speed Racer
SO I wasn't familiar with the song, but liked it so I asked. Geez sorry. Get over it. Woah, not trying to be rude, I'm just kind of shocked because most people who are getting into Wilco, even if they're working they're way back, tend to pick up Being There pretty quickly. It's a wonderful record, and Misunderstood is a wonderful song that they play at nearly every show. If you don't have the record, do pick it up - you're in for a treat. Edited to add: My reaction was also in part due to the fact that the record is 13 years old, and it IS so easy for folks who are into Wilco to have not heard what is arguably one of their best records. Though I'm young, it makes me feel "Wilco old."

I will let you know how it is. I can't wait. No worries Speed Racer-I did not take it personally. I have always been a Wilco fan and actually did pick up Being There the same year it came out but truth be told it has been neglected for far too long...but no more neglecting any Wilco records for me. Oh, one more thing Speed Racer, who is the female in your icon photo?

I was a year younger than her when I first saw the video, so I attribute my inappropriate crush to nostalgia. I don't think any avatar at VC gets more inquiries than yours, Speed Racer. I was a year younger than her when I first saw the video, so I attribute my inappropriate crush to nostalgia. According to wikipedia, she's about two years older than I. I really don't understand. I'm never attracted to females that have that "permanently altered state of mind" kind of facial expression. But this girl...I don't know. It works.
rwilson580
I have to admit...when I first stumbled on this site early this year...one of my first thoughts was "Hmmm...Speed Racer is kind of cute." Even as I was also thinking "Hmmm...Speed Racer looks kind of familiar."
barbkm
To Speed Racer -- I always thought that was a self portrait and was really jealous cos I thought you were alot prettier than me and if Jeff saw this, he'd be like "Wow, that Speed racer is hard, but that barbkm, who let her out of the kennel." So, this is good for my self confidence.
