barbkm
Saw this on MSNBC.com, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34504247/ns/entertainment-music/ then I remembered my idea from 2007. It could happen! http://forums.viachicago.org/topic/36933-wilco-cartoon/page__p__1196426__hl__wilco%20%20+%20cartoon__fromsearch__1entry1196426
bjorn_skurj
A Wilco cartoon would be much awesomer than a Def Leppard cartoon, and might even be as awesome as Metalocalypse.
Dude
and might even be as awesome as Metalocalypse. Is that like the movie Heavy Metal? That was pretty rad at the time, but I was 13 when I watched it so who knows.
Analogman
Not really. Metalocalypse The show parodies other "band" and supernatural programs, combining dark comedy and Apocalyptic intrigue in following the exploits of the part-American/part-Scandinavian death metal band Dethklok. The episodes follow the band's everyday life, with a Dethklok song being a common feature near the end of many episodes. Heavy Metal (magazine) Heavy Metal is a 1981 Canadian animated film from executive producer Leonard Mogel, who was also the publisher of Heavy Metal magazine. Heavy Metal is an American science fiction and fantasy comics magazine, known primarily for its blend of dark fantasy/science fiction and erotica.
Dude
Heavy Metal (magazine) Right, 'cept wasn't referring to the mag, I was referring to the flick: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_Metal_(film)

Dude
The film is not about Heavy Metal in a musical sense though. (Not that Def Leppard are metal) True, the soundtrack featured a bit of metal as I recall (Sabbath and Hagar are in there). I think the big draw at the time was that it was an R-rated cartoon. KevinG
Jeff Tweedy was already in Odd Job Jack (Scroll to eps 1.11 to read description, scroll further for a picture.), so it has been done?

It sucks that Season 1 doesn't seem to be available on DVD, nor is it visible in the land of torrents.
