Going to Clearwater show?

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I've become that person who does this.

I drag my husband all over the Earth, well at least North America, to see Wilco. He's not a huge fan, but he goes with me and LOVES Spiders. It seems that every time I go with my friend who loves Casino Queen they play Spiders, and every time I go with my husband, they play Casino Queen (and not vice-versa). Sigh.

On March 23 they're playing 4 miles from my house. Which is pretty weird cuz I live in suburban Florida. AND it's his birthday. (And it's kind of a stuffy place, so people will need an excuse to get up and jump up and down).

So if you're going, or even if you're not, how about requesting Spiders for Scott? You know what to do.

Thanks,

-laura

I think he does actually love all of Wilco now, he's just too stubborn to admit it. Thanks all! (And Sarah, Wishful Thinking requested!) Tugmoose - I guess I'll see you at spring training, huh?

My dad is a lot like your hubby. I know for a fact he digs some songs, but he still says he doesn't like em. Thanks for helping with my campaign to hear Wishful Thinking.

Hopefully, we will both get our requests, though I think yours has a better shot. :)

I have yet to see the poor places

How long do ya'll thing the set(s) will be given this is and "Evening With"? I read in the press release email thingy they're supposed to be "extended", but what does that mean for a band when their average set length is 2 hours or so? Either way, I am EXCITED. Next week is gonna be a long one.

I'm going with my wife to the Clearwater show too, but sorry, I already requested I'm Always In Love.

My wife is requesting Reservations.

Actually the best combination I have ever heard is Poor Places/Reservations/Spiders.

They did that at one of the Chicago Residency dates(wasn't at the show, but it's on the Owl & Bear site) and the sequence is incredible.

If I'm not mistaken, they did the Poor Places/Reservations combination at Tampa Theatre in 2002 and again at Carol Morsani Hall in 2005. Now if they would just do that again but add Spiders, it would be perfect!

I agree Ruth Eckerd in Clearwater is a bit stuffy, but has good acoustics.

I think they have a rail between the orchestra pit and the cheaper seats so it may be hard to get up to the stage.

But hey, it's been 5 years since they have been here so its gonna be great!
