Albert Tatlock
“Holy Toledo!” Union Chapel Wed 30th Jun 7:00 pm Jeff Tweedy £22.50 adv + booking fee http://www.unionchapel.org.uk/events.php Great venue - have a soft spot for it since Jonathan Richman visited No other details. Just spotted via some idle venue checking and although I did think twice about not posting until I had bought a ticket (no idea when they might be available), altruism won out (though I might have to resort to violence if I don't get a pew near the front). Nice bit of news on a slow day. I just checked the Wilco tour schedule and it does seem to be stuck on its own - not even grouped amongst one of the existing European visits. Wonder why - in town for album launch promo interviews? Who knows. (Riddle me this!) Just alot of air miles being gathered this year. Keep planting the trees JT. P.S. Top tip: bring a cushion (non-whoopee). Those pews are hard. Dick Grayson: What's so important about Chopin? Bruce Wayne: All music is important, Dick. It's the universal language. One of our best hopes for the eventual realization of the brotherhood of man. Dick Grayson: Gosh Bruce, yes, you're right. I'll practice harder from now on.
Albert Tatlock
UPDATETickets on sale on the 30th And why not:- Robin: Gosh, if I could just figure out that riddle. Why can't I get it? Batman: Maybe your mind's on that cute little teenager who waved to you on the way across town, eh? Robin: Awww, come on, Batman.

pillowy star
A show in Germany (the first solo show since I think 2002!!) on June 26th would be a nice birthday present for my husband
Wild Frank
Great news. Union Chapel is a great venue. I saw Bjork there a few years back and the atmosphere was staggering. This should be a great show. Can't wait.
raindog
I wonder (probably more out of hope than expectation) if this solo date means Jeff might make an appearance at Glastonbury.
Albert Tatlock
On sale today via Sandbag http://wilcotickets.sandbag.uk.com/Store/DisplayItems.html Zonk!Got mine!Kpoooooww! Dr. Cassandra: You'd better watch out. I've got your number, Batman. [batgirl appears] Batgirl: What about me? Do you have my number too? Dr. Cassandra: Other women's numbers don't interest me, Batgirl. Batman: Glad to have you flanking us, Batgirl Batgirl: I wouldn't miss it for anything! [Robin looks at Batgirl.] Robin: You know something, Batman? Batman: What's that, Robin? Robin: She looks very pretty when she's asleep. Batman: I thought you might eventually notice that. That single statement indicates to me the first oncoming thrust of manhood, old chum. King Tut: [to Nefertiti] How many times must I tell you?! Queens consume nectar and ambrosia, not hot dogs! Robin: Boy! That was our closest call ever! I have to admit that I was pretty scared! Batman: I wasn't scared in the least. Robin: Not at all? Batman: Haven't you noticed how we always escape the vicious ensnarements of our enemies? Robin: Yeah, because we're smarter than they are! Batman: I like to think it's because our hearts are pure. Albert Tatlock
A six hour round trip in the Bat-Mobile but well worth it.I see - trouble with the BatCopter eh? Batman: Better put 5 cents in the meter. Robin: No policeman's going to give the Batmobile a ticket. Batman: This money goes to building better roads. We all must do our part. Wild Frank
I see - trouble with the BatCopter eh? Its the parking for BatCopter's that put me off going down that route! Its quite a built up area and plenty of listed buildings etc. I supposed I could park it at the Emirate's Stadium and walk from there!

Would be quite impressive though.

Would be quite impressive though.Sounds like you're buggered. Batman: Ma Parker's girl is more dangerous than her three boys. Robin: Her legs sort of reminded me of Catwoman's. Batman: You're growing up, Robin. Remember, in crime-fighting always keep your sights raised.

Albert Tatlock
I'll be hanging out with Batgirl backstage. [insert pawing noise here] You will be on a trip from Gotham City Paul? And BatGirl/CatWoman - who cares? Robin: [After Catwoman has just tried, unsuccessfully, to lure Batman with her feminine charms] Good job that love stuff doesn't work on me - I'm way too young for that sort of thing! Catwoman: Batman, you saved my life! Batman: It was the least I could do. Catwoman: How can I ever combat you again after all you've done for me? Batman: Let's hope it never comes to that, Catwoman, because, in the end, veracity and rectitude always triumph. Catwoman: Batman...are you spoken for? Batman: Huh? Catwoman: Married, engaged, or going steady? Batman: My crime fighting leaves me little time for social engagements. Catwoman: Boy...have I got a girl for you!

Auref
Here we go. Batman is gone. I think he has some story with Robin. He let him protect the london people, but Robin is too busy with batgirl and catwoman. Somebody see them in the same bed. Something dirty. So now i need your help. I'm a poor and lonesome frenchy who came alone to london to see his musician-god. But london is too dangerous. I need someone to help me in the city (why not a visite) . Or just someone to drink with after the show. And why not a Wilco party in London so we can protect ourself from the joker and other boy called lonelyness. For the protection of some other french who can go together through the channel, and if someone sleep in an hotel or somewhere not too expensive i'm very interested. Or whatever. Please don't let a poor french alone without defense. Together we can go through this.
Albert Tatlock
"Holy Toledo" indeed, as JT goes to Spain for some solo shows too. Hence solving the riddle of the lone UK show in the middle of nothing else Wilco-related. Jul-03 Moli De Mar (Barcelona), Faraday FestivalJul-05 Tenerife, Tenerife AuditoriumJul-10 Bilbao, Bilbao BBK Live Good that he's allowed a few days to get there after London. What with the Icelandic volcano situation being off and on, a ferry to Santander might be the best option. This might come in handy down there, apparently:- Batman is El MurcielagoBruce Wayne is Bruno DiazDick Grayson is Ricardo TapiaThe Joker is El GuasonCatwoman is Gatubela Batgirl is Batichica Gordon is FierroThe Riddler is El AcertijoMr Freeze is Capitan Frio Poison Ivy is Hiedra VenenosaThe Penguin is El PinguinoEggHead is Cabeza de Huevo Also in Spanish news:- "Extremadura should be pleased with itself" And so for those trying at home:-
Albert Tatlock
Strange synchronicity: JT books a Joker in support:- Patrick Monahan As well as a regular TV & studio warm up - on shows such as 'Friday Night Jonathan Ross', 'The IT Crowd', 'The Lenny Henry Show', 'Davina', 'Open House with Gloria Hunerford', as well as a regular MC at selected venues on the comedy circuit. Maybe JT will have to up his game in the banter stakes. Even stranger synchornicity:- Question: What's track 4 on the soundtrack to 1966's Batman movie?Answer: "Roger Wilco"

pillowy star
LOL yeah, but then I know it's never gonna happen anyway, and the less illusional I become, the less interested I get too. There're only so many years of pointless waiting a fan can take
