Vacant Horizon
Tweedy/Farrar Robyn Hitchcock/Peter Buck Dylan/Robbie Robertson welch-rawlings their interplay is subtle but precise. gillian is never just hacking away. it's always in synch and with little notes here and there. great stuff. Nigel and David clearly... end of thread. --Mike awesome. actually, those spinal tap songs are fairly good on their own, in an un-ironic way.

Plumplechook
Andy Powell and Ted Turner from Wishbone Ash. One of the all time great twin lead guitar teams. I've always thought there is a touch of Wishbone Ash in Impossible Germany.
LouieB
I remember once hearing a story about a young rock and roll guitarist (i think it was Keith Richards) hearing an old blues record for the first time and asking "who is that?" and getting the response "Robert Johnson." (I think), and Richards responding "And who's the other one?" But of course, there was no one else. So, in deference to Keith, Robert Johnson/Robert Johnson. If anyone has heard this legend and correct me on the names, please do so.I don't know anything about this story but since you mentioned it......Charley Patton and Willie Brown...(Sadly Willie Brown was not recorded with Robert Johnson.) And also while we are at it, Bert Jansch and John Renbourn. LouieB
