Guest Speed Racer
So I guess Mrs. Palin is having some influence on this election period. Why else would you all STILL be so afraid of her? She certainly does, which is kind of unnerving. People voting Republican is, to me, a logical choice that I happen to disagree with. People who vote Palin vote in support of stupid, and the idea that she has any sort of endorsement power says to me that she still has a sort of electability. I would no more vote for her than a 9 year-old. I am against electing stupid people to office. Not stupid like, "I would not have made that decision," but stupid like, "NAME A FUCKING NEWSPAPER THAT YOU READ, YOU NITWIT!"
Magnetized
I'm in LouieB's camp with this one. President Palin would be awesome, if you take the long view on politics--as we must. I can't think of any other single event which would so shake up the electorate as that. She would be out of office so fast it would make your head spin--whether through boneheaded decision-making, a scandal, or whatever. I mean, the possibilities are endless! Then, in time-honored fashion, we would all be looking for CHANGE. Time to bring back the progressives. I like it. Let's start a campaign to get that nutjob in office. It's called long range planning.
LouieB
All right..something we can all agree on.....Sarah Palin for President. We can get the WHOLE WORLD laughing...now we are talkin. LouieB
Guest Speed Racer
I mean, the possibilities are endless! And the probabilities are nonexistant! If she were elected, she would complete her term(s) without censure. Our track record for the presidential office shows a near-inability on the part of the government to do anything to reprimand people currently in office; there's no reason to think she would be an exception to the rule. Don't kill my buzz. I'm on a high today--just got 2 2nd row center tickets for Jeff in Charlottesville, heading up to the rally in DC on Friday, and I endorsed Palin for Prez today. Miracles do happen!
Moss
I used to think Palin getting elected was an impossibility but not any more. She is the most popular republican leader by far with 70+ approval rating with conservatives. She could easily get the republican nomination and depending on peoples fear, dislike of Obama, and stupidity, may actually get elected. I don't think this will happen but it makes me uncomfortable. She will at that point be a complete puppet for the right so who knows what could happen.
Tweedling
And the probabilities are nonexistant! Gawd I hope so. (we agree again!)
Guest Speed Racer
Gawd I hope so. (we agree again!) About her being elected or her not being reprimanded for shit she does wrong in office, if she holds office? Because the latter is not something I "hope" for, it's just a reality. It's called long range planning.Yeah, she'd be out of office. Hiding in the bunker after the Oval Office and the rest of the world was vaporized after her stupid ass got us into a nuclear war. In all candor, there is no end to the stupidity of the American people; electing a stupid president is no guarantee that we're all going to collectively wise up anytime soon. Guest Speed Racer
And Leave Me Like You Found Me. I'd rather have Sarah Palin for president than have that fucking song for president. Talk about nuclear winter.

calvino
Qualifications for the Office of President Age and Citizenship requirements - US Constitution, Article II, Section 1 No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States. Term limit amendment - US Constitution, Amendment XXII, Section 1 – ratified February 27, 1951 No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. I'd say both they are both qualified. Of course, some(not necessarily VCer's)do not believe Obama falls into the Article II, Section 1 qualification.

Wilco fans have a higher IQ than most people. Wilco supports Obama therefore I support Obama. Most interesting....
