PopTodd
I found it in my crawl space over the weekend. Only difference is that the one that I found is 0.15 and has a blue-green background.Found 3, actually. And they are all in perfect shape. Posted it at a stamp forum, too... just to see. But thought that i would ask here, too. Why not?

I'll give you a buck fifty for all three, you pay postage.

Guest Speed Racer
Search: "royaume du maroc" stamp First hit. Third hit.
PopTodd
Search: "royaume du maroc" stamp First hit. Third hit.First hit had no info of any value. That third one... seems like it may be more informative. However, there are MANY, MANY stamps with the phrase "Royaume Du Maroc", and the image that is available of the stamp that they are talking about is COMPLETELY different from what I have. So, still not that valuable a page. Thanks, anyway.
Guest Speed Racer
First hit had no info of any value. That third one... seems like it may be more informative. But then, it is Wikipedia and that can be iffy. But, thanks. It had the estimated value of the stamp. The second hit let you know that not much is known about this stamp, which along with the estimated value of the stamp should let you know that it's pretty much a postage stamp from Moracco with a dude on it. Sixth hit. 1958, 600 issued. And none of the photos at any of the sites with any of the information about these stamps have a photo of any stamp that looks anything similar to the one that I posted in the first post here.I freely admit to being a pretty poor Google researcher, but it also seems like none of those have anything to do with the stamp that I found. Thanks so much for your legwork, though. Hopefully there'll be something popping up soon. I'll also see if I can find a local stamp dealer that could maybe tell me something about it.

I'm sorry, but in this era of information, if you don't find something immediately you probably don't have anything of worth. And I just don't know why a random postage stamp would be that interesting unless it was something other than a regular postage stamp from another country that was kinda old. Moss
I bet if the dude was upside down on the stamp, you would really have something there. That's about all I have gleaned about stamp collecting through the years. Sorry to interrupt, carry on.
PopTodd
Really? And I just don't know why a random postage stamp would be that interesting unless it was something other than a regular postage stamp from another country that was kinda old.I found that one.Two things: 1) There wasn't much in the way of information about it. Except:Stamp No.: mar-001-01Country: MaroccoYear (ca.): naValue: 0,05 Region: Northern Africa Subject: Royaume du MarocDoesn't tell me much more than I already know. 2) Where is the 0,15 stamp? That's the one that I have. These are the things that are frustrating to me. As to why would it be interesting? Probably it's not. But, just the manner in which I found it conjures up all sorts of (almost certainly irrational) visions of Antiques Roadshow: "When I was down in my crawl space, cleaning up after a flood, I just found it on top of a floor joist down there."So yeah, I admit to my irrationality. But the lack of info on this specific stamp is piquing my interest all the more. The the build-up to the letdown!

Guest Speed Racer
I just carried out my once-a-leap-year purging of my crap, and I am so glad I don't have a crawl space to hoard things in. Out of curiosity, did you find anything of use or was it just stuff you put there and thought, "I will TOTALLY use this again!"? That's what I do. Or, "I will LOVE to look over this again!!"Â I've limited myself to keeping all personal correspondence (letters and cards and the like - not e-anything) and a few momentos, but I save the darndest shit that I don't need to. u2roolz
Hey PopTodd, I noticed that you didn't know too much about stamp collecting so I signed you up for Linn's Stamp News for 12 issues. It should only run you about $24.99. I think that it's a great deal. Anyways, PM me so that I can get your address & possible PayPal info.Hopefully, this helps you out. lol
