Being There Era

Recommended Posts

A particular favorite of mine from this era is the 10/30/1997 Minneapolis gig: http://wilcoarchive.com/Wilco%2019971030/. Excellent sound, the band was on fire, and the setlist is tremendous. Covers of Sugar Baby and James Alley Blues, 15 songs from Being There, and polka and ska versions of Passenger Side. Go get it!

I'm gonna second this and recommend folks grab the preceding night at the same venue as well. Wilco had a great two-night stand in Minneapolis with some classic, albeit vulgar in some spots, Tweedy stage banter and smokin' hot playing. One of these nights has a very early version of She's a Jar, plus the BT-era cover of True Love Will Find You in the End.
