froggie
ooh... based on various tracks/albums i have, (from the top of my head) 1920's - 1%1930's - 2%1940's - 2%1950's - 4%1960's - 15%1970's - 20%1980's - 15%1990's - 20%2000's - 20%2010's - 1%
PopTodd
Without getting too specific, it probably breaks down with most stuff in my formative and peak years -- 70s-90s -- with good chunks in the 60s and 00s and then smatterings before and after all that.
tinnitus photography
this is a total guess, and doesn't include mp3s: 1940's - >1%1950's - >1%1960's - 10%1970's - 15%1980's - 30%1990's - 25%2000's - 15%2010's - 5%
LouieB
I have no idea. How do people even figure this stuff out. I have material from the very earliest periods of recorded music (before the turn of the last century and before WWI) to last week. What would you like to hear? But I suppose the bulk of my records are from 1950-1980. I don't know. LouieB
tinnitus photography
it's all guesswork, unless one has a database built up.

Winston Legthigh
Does classical music count towards the year it was composed, or the year it was recorded?

Mr. Heartbreak
Very tough. I would say a wild guess would be: 1930s 2%1940's 1%1950's 8%1960's 35%1970's 25%1980's 10%1990's 10%2000's 5%2010's 4%
