jff
I can't speak for the CD or digital versions, but the vinyl is not any quieter (I assume that's what you mean by "low mixing") than other records.
rhino4evr
yeah, the volume on the digital version is so low that I actually have to crank my stereo just to hear it. maybe I'll just buy it on vinyl...
Pecan_Pie
Rhino, I'm sure you contact Drag City and they'd take care of you. They're very nice there. I've never heard anything bad about them.
Blackberry Rust
Excellent album - right up there with Eureka and Insigificance. I really couldn't believe it had been 14 years since his last songwriting record. On the subject of mixing, this is the way Jim's alway done it. He's big on dynamic range and Eureka is particularly quiet; which can wreak a little havoc if you're putting together a playlist in itunes, but it doesn't really bother me. He's a wonderful producer and an immensely talented musician and arranger.
lost highway
Cool interview with what seems to be a very ex-patriated, English-rusty Jim O'Rourke about his new record Sleep Like It's Winter. https://www.stereogum.com/2007352/jim-orourke-interview-2018/franchises/interview/
