nalafej
I'm sure they'll play nearly exclusively Jeff Tweedy solo catalog music + a few select covers as in the past, and they have occasionally played CA Stars already, but.... What song would you want to see Jeff, Spencer, Sammy, Liam, Sima and Macy play on the upcoming tour? My thought is something with some violin for Macy to nail + a great chorus opportunity: Reservations and/or Either Way How about you?
SarahC
I'm wondering if the format will be similar to the 2014 tour where they did 2/3 full band with 1/3 acoustic solo (mostly wilco) tunes in the middle. I think it would be cool if they did "Dreamer In My Dreams".

Also, is it just me or does Sima look scarily like Spencer in the latest promo stuff. Then there’s also the resemblance to CMATs drummer. Not trying to start JT love child rumours but it’s weird. DiamondClaw
I'm happy Jeff gets to play with this group of friends and family he's comfortable with, but I'm disappointed Jim Elkington isn't joining them. He's a phenomenal guitarist and adds so much to the sound.

DiamondClaw
Just my opinion of course, but if this is the lineup they're going with, I would move Liam to lead guitar (and keyboards) and have anyone else cover bass (Sima, Macie, heck even Sammy). I know there aren't any Nels/Impossible Germany style workouts in these sets, but lead guitar is still more important for a good Tweedy band show.
nalafej
I wish Elkington was on this run too. Sima's outstanding at guitar and I bet we're not lacking for killer guitars between her and Jeff Tweedy.
TCP
The pedal steel Stan in me would love to have heard some of James' pedal steel live, plus maybe some of the Love is the King faux-steel guitar arranged for actual pedal steel. That said, this line up is great on paper. Sima and Macy are fantastic. I'm excited! In answer to Jef's question, I'm going to choose the lame answer and say none. This is Jeff's first tour with the Tweedy band in a decade, and I missed that tour. I have a lot of Sukierae, Warm(er), Love is the King, and now Twilight, songs to check off my spreadsheet. Yeah, I have a spreadsheet, no laughs please.
