i love that version of the song,...i need to get that whole show on dvd one of these days,..i have been meaning to ask jhamm. i agree with the lap steel sound, the way nels plays it reminds me a lot of the dylan shows i went to a few years back, i forget who played lap steel for dylan back then but it sounds very similar.

mine is from the bob dylan song from the album planet waves (one of my faves). i picked it back in the 90s when i joined my first chat room which was a bob dylan chat room called 'bob dylan gold'. i have had it so long and just never had the urge to change it.

i'm still euphoric from it,..they are just the greatest, i love this band. the venue and the vibe of it all made it all the better. having my son with me to experience it (his 3rd wilco show) made it even more special. and meeting jeff for the 2nd time was the icing . he seemed happy and he looked great,... he was so cute in his hat! he even smiled a tiny bit in the picture i had taken with him, thanks to the nice man who took it.
