I'm wondering why Palin isn't answerable to the press except in controlled circumstances. Is she an Evelyn Wood speed reader and as soon as she's learned something about foreign policy they'll let her loose? Her religion is out of bounds but Obama's isn't. Why aren't we seeing more of Obama and Biden stumping, and the Lizards of Satan twins, for that matter? Or hearing speeches from anyone and everyone stumping on the trail? And the media continues to ignore the very real issues of voter suppression and vote theft? This isn't a campaign of issues but of personality? McCain is ge

So, is Bill O'Reilly suggesting that the senior Palin's were supervising their daughter when she got pregnant? And abortion is okay for wealthy people?

For those of you concerned about voting irregularities, I found a place that considers the potential problems and issues county by county. Black Box Voting

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/05/n...t_n_124256.html McCain aide sees no reason why Sarah Palin should have to answer reporters' queries: According to Nicole Wallace of the McCain campaign, the American people don't care whether Sarah Palin can answer specific questions about foreign and domestic policy. According to Wallace -- in an appearance I did with her this morning on Joe Scarborough's show -- the American people will learn all they need to know (and all they deserve to know) from Palin's scripted speeches and choreographed appearances on the campaign trail and in camp

Being an idealist is fairly frustrating, I admit. woah! B2, we agree on something.

This is the document that got me started taking another look at 9/11, since the neocons who developed the Bush Doctrine basically called for it to happen. That US foreign policy class last spring really derailed me, or opened my eyes. Or both.

I'm an idealist.

I am completely anti-gun (my position is "melt 'em all"). But I have to agree with you on this, having just watched this. Warning: you may want to have a salad for dinner.

Hey, it's back? They dropped off the net in May for 'nonpayment' of their bill. Ah, they changed their name, slick. Did you know that McCain was instrumental in the organization that was the forerunner to PNAC? McCain has surrounded himself with the best and brightest from the now-defunct Project for the New American Century: Randy Scheunemann, one of its directors, is serving as McCain

I've never seen Space Ghost, but that's funny anyways. I still have no idea what he plans to do besides flex his muscle around the world. The relentless jingoism is disturbing.....the body bag industry should continue to do well. But he seems to have decided to use Obama's energy policy, so even if he wins, there's that. And I didn't listen to her speak, but I respect Cindy McCain for doing something useful with her time and money (as opposed to say, Nancy Reagan.) Bring on the debates! I can't watch Jon Stewart on TV, so I can't wait to see tonight's show tomorrow.

Gloria Steinem on Sarah Palin (She's Phyllis Schafly, only younger)

My biggest problem with the Dems is the 'fox guarding the henhouse' issue. Until the election process and campaign finance is truly reformed, government will continue to serve corporate interests rather than citizen interests.

You're right, I misspoke. $35 billion for 5 years child health coverage. Approx. 3-4 months of Iraq spending. As to the other stuff, I've provided lots of info links on these issues before. That's what I mean by drinking the koolaid. There is a ton of info seriously questioning the official story, and while it is voluminous and easy to find, you'll have to consider that there are viable news sources other than Yahoo news and the networks. More than 1/3 of Americas still believe the 9/11 story is a coverup of either US complicity or intelligence failure.

Ministry of Information. They really seem to think the public won't remember what happened under their watch -- they sure are scrambling to make it seem like someone else's responsibility. 9/11 happened on their watch, Bin Laden is still out there, and it's the Dem's who are weak on national security? And re 9/11, there are A LOT of unanswered questions, with very disturbing implications. Call it conspiracy theory if you want -- sometimes there are conspiracies. I'd suggest if you don't question the official story, it's likely you're the one drinking the koolaid. cheney leading

Exactly. She's energetic, engaging, fairly eloquent (when scripted at least). Too bad she's a snarky pit bull with lipstick and appalling political views.
