  1. Skilling, 52, was found guilty in May of fraud, insider trading, conspiracy and lying to auditors for actions leading to his abrupt resignation in August 2001. Four months later, his company - once the nation's seventh-largest - went bankrupt amid revelations of inflated profits and hidden debts. have these people NO shame??
  2. Ken Lay continues to screw us from the grave here's the kicker Tuesday's ruling thwarts the government's bid to seek $43.5 million in ill-gotten gains prosecutors allege he pocketed by participating in Enron's fraud. The government could still pursue those gains in civil court, but they would have to compete with other litigants, if any, also pursuing Lay's estate.
  3. next best thing: PM ction and see if he'll take you to IHOP.
  4. I have a gf who does electrolysis. The stories she tells .....
  5. vacation starts now! (my boss is the best!) I can next be found at the Wilco show in WV, where I will only appear on stage if invited.
  6. Just starting this, and hoping for good things because Cold Mtn was a beautifully written book (that they ruined by making into a movie starring Nicole Kidman)
  7. because he's a drunken fool? I don't drink and have very low tolerance for drunken idiots.
  8. Im planning to vote a straight non-fascist ticket.
  9. I've seen those socks perform at other shows! I'd say best bet for a cool corduroy jacket is the Salvation Army.
  10. which makes me wonder, WAS he a drunken frat guy? Im somewhat trepidatious about the crowd composition at WVU, where they feature not only drunken frat boys but also a crazed football culture.

  13. I think I do too, now. Now if I can just work up a dream about the both of them
  14. Patrick Fugit, the guy who played Cameron Crowe in Almost Famous. Saw him in Spun this weekend, movie about crack addicts. Pretty classic and scary Mickey Rourke appearance in that too. nothing to be done about that! Just succumb!
  15. yeah, that's what I thought! some singer, supposed to be good for you.
  16. I knew it -- there's no reason to quit smoking!
  17. I'll be hoping for a picture of oceanman and the three hot chicks doing the oceanman wave.
  18. verrry scarry. Same thing happened to me in a whiteout in the Bermuda Triangle of NY, I-88. Flipped my van upside down, watched my younger daughter in the rearview bouncing around like a piece of popcorn. Car was totalled, no injuries to speak of. I think the five feet of snow on the ground saved us. The scary part was being in the median and figuring we were going to get hit by other cars/trucks going off in the same place. I used to be a fearless driver ... now I'm fearless only in dry conditions. Glad you're okay.
  19. "a section of soldiers that was downwind from that had some ill effects" which makes me think, perhaps a stealth dosing of E (or even Valium) amongst the Iraqi insurgents might be worth considering.
