your right, they are tougher to get into. go for the other ones first.

the s/t is definilty my favorite. don't discount the instrumental stuff, more then anything else I think BSS is great for the musicianship in the band and both feel good lost and bee hives are really great albums. (plus on bee hives you get fiest singing Lovers Spit which is awesome)

Anyone from the twin cities listen to much Afternoon record stuff? For those who havent heard of this label, it is fulll of young bands from the twin cities and surrounding areas, great great music. most people have heard of Haley Bonar and mouthfull of bees, but the whole label is filled with good bands One especially, We All Have Hooks for hands is from Souix Fall, South dakota and I just picked up their record "The pretender". it is really really good. the band has like nine members and they definitly evoke a Broken Social Scene like sound. check out the CD if you get a chance

great looking selist. he didnt play simple x when I saw him and thats one of my favorites, I'm jealous.

it was actually released as Simple Exercises on Dosh's album Pure Trash. I am sure andrew added his own thoughts about the music when it was rewritten for his album, however it is not radically different.

great show last night. was anyone else there? apostle of hustle opened with a really great set, I haven't listened to much of their music but I will now. andrew's set was awesome, we ghot tons of great versions of the songs on the new album, ended the show with a great schythian empires. also mid set he did three songs solo: oh sister, why? and masterfade. I just love hearing him all by himself. so much power on the stage. he also played a bit of the Dr Stringz song which was fun just a great great show, everyone should try and see him if he is in your town, I know I am preaching to the cho
