  1. I'm from Brussels.

I guess you best chance is to do the following:

    1) Register to the Ancienne Belgique venue website (not before tomorrow as the site is under maintenance until then).

Then you go to each of Wilco show dedicated pages and somewhere under the "sold out" info you'll see something like "add me to the waiting list". Just do that.

I did it several times in the past and often got lucky (mind that you could be warned about new tickets on sale soon enough or just a few days before the show).

    2) On the same pages there's a ticket sale/request kind of forum. Post your request over there, but most importantly scroll the list of messages down to the "selling" section.

Check there regularly since people might want to get rid of their tickets as the concert dates are approaching.

(Of course there's still the possibility to get tickets through scalpers, not recommended)

    Any question, just ask.

  2. ...but that must be annoying for you non-French-residing Europeans.

Paul, we have Fnac stores in Belgium as well. I can order a ticket online for you and grab it at the store this week (I pass by every Wednesday on my way to the pub ;) ).

No shipping fee. I'll give it to you when we meet next November.

Just let me know (as well as for the Brussels' ticket if you want to).

  3. Bump.

    Same problem here.

The basic chords are really easy, but I have trouble with the picking in the intro part (G-D-C).

It sounds so good, but I can't figure out what Jeff's playing.

    Thanks for your help.

  4. Not to mention the SBS European press tour stories. It comes up occasionally on my iPod and I still laugh and laugh.

(German accent) "vhy iz ze guitarz so loud ? Vhat happened wiz ze guitarz !..." :lol

(Spanish accent) "Yeff, I know you're sad" :lol

When it comes up on my ipod I can't help but laugh out loud, no matter where I am.

  5. :cryin NNNNNNNNNNNNNNooooooooooooooooooo

The last date free for the wilco tour in europe goes to belgium . I really love belgian people but why this country and not the france.Bring us wilco. Refuse that wilco go in belgium. Please made a politic crise in your country. And i promise i don't made anymore belgian jokes.

We're already in the middle of a political crisis.

Nevertheless, Belgians are smart enough not to mess up with important events like Wilco playing our small country.

Come visit us, we're nice people :cheers.

    Sam

  6. A good thing for Wilco is to make a french tv show called Taratata..../...

I think i gonna make a travel any body can host me in europe :cheekkiss

I'm a really cool french. I can learn you some french tricks and i came with the food

Ouille ! Wilco on Taratata would pretty much be like The Cure playing "Champs Elysée" back in the 80's.:yucky...and, Naguy interviewing Jeff Tweedy, this guy's a buffoon.

(However, next time Wilco play in Belgium you're welcome to stay at our place in Brussels)

  7. Well I might have some sort of an explanation.

That is a very plausible explanation Fortuleo (especially the one about taxes which I've heard before).

Not to stick the knife in deeper, but within the last 2 tours the band played my tiny homeland of Belgium 5 (five!) times.

And Brussels is only 1h20 minutes away from Paris.

My advice to Auref for next time is to book some train tickets to Belgium and join the numerous lucky Belgian fans :thumbup.

Oh...and instead of raving about their food and wines, what Wilco needs from France are people of good taste in music buying their records ;).

(Funnily enough, my first Wilco live experience was at the Elysee Montmartre in Paris...)
