It always has a bunch of subtle jokes. Have you ever been to party like that? Where the host couple is fighting. Uhg how uncomfy.

I don't know anybody who rocks a jean jacket quite like Jeff does. Especially a jean jacket with jean pants. I know people who make fun of guys in jean jackets. As if they are 80s throwbacks. I think I would look like an idiot in a jean jacket. But for some reason it works for Jeff. Not just anybody can pull of a jean jacket anymore.

I have a reel-to-reel of Country Joe & The Fish. It's an official Vanguard release in excellent confition. I don't think it's ever been played. He is playing in Sacramento in a couple of weeks. I just might bring it down to get signed.

I think my original argument is more that Wilco can rock a festival harder than Jack Johnson. The music might be better also but at least it rocks. Jack Johnson sold millions of records with no gimmick; that is amazing. But that music is just not exciting enough to top bills of actual rock bands that actually rock. Also, I can't see myself bitching about how popular my favorite band is unless I suddenly couldn't get tickets.

[ And Beck headlining? I've never really thought of that, but he would be a perfect headliner at any festival. I think Beck headlined Vegoose before.

But those songs. You can't put racing stripes on a Hyundai and call it a race car.

What up with Jack Johnson headlining giant music festivals? He's headliner for Outside Lands, Bonnarroo, and Coachella. I just don't see how he tops the bill over Wilco or Beck (Outside Lands). I've never seen Jack Johnson live before but the music I've heard seems pretty mellow. Not the kind of music I'd expect to get thousands of people ready to party to start party'n. How will he follow someone like Wilco? He will follow them with a stool and an acoustic guitar. Sure, he sells a lot of records, but I don't see him as a festival headliner. I don't get it and I don't like it. Oh well

Pot smoke at any rock show always works for me.

I'm hoping for Hate it Here then Can't Stand It. In that order. Or vice versa.
