I've got the 360 and just love it. I was never into multiplayer games before I had it. I have NHL 08 and just can't dedicate the time to a new game -- cause, damn are they awesome!!

Not sure if you're into 'shooter' type games, but you should at least go rent Call of Duty 4. It sold 7 million copies last year and for good reason -- it is a really intense game. Not for the kiddies, though.

Hey man -- cool song. Totally different than the other stuff you've put up....I think the last thing I heard by you was kind of a Johnny Cash(ish) tune that was really cool. I dig the guitar tone. Reminds me of The Special Goodness (Pat the drummer from Weezer's band).

I hope you feel better (I'll be bummed as hell, too, if you can't make it). The room we got is pretty big so you can stake out a corner and not worry about infecting us. Anyway, we got the room for a while, so you can sleep in and show up a little late.

Damn, its tomorrow! Is anyone going to bring a printout of the tabs? I'm totally unprepared.

I made one set already, but can totally bring some more. I definitely don't have anything everything memorized.

No question that he's a super talented guy. No way Blink 182 makes it as big without him. Some of the stuff he did on Enema of the State was just outstanding.

Any thoughts on the setlist for those who are coming? I definitely need to put some practice in....so I'd like to get it ironed out sometime this weekend.

I hope for something along the lines of AGIB. SBS seriously lacked the density and power of the last few albums. Say what you will, but SBS and AM battle it out for the low spot in Wilco albums.

I take everything with a grain of salt from Courtney Love. But still....lot of dough.

EDIT: and, by the way, it will be a happy day for me when the general public learns the difference between "your" and "you're" (Looking at you Ms. Love). IMO, nothing like a rant with bad grammar to make a person look bad.

James -- just want to give a big thanks for taking the time to email everyone, organize a poll and figure everything out. I'm a little partial for practicing at Amp or the location in West Hollywood.

AMP looks good as well. I like that they'll let us use a keyboard amp along with everything else. I just haven't been there. I'm in the South Bay, Torrance but I've been going to valley occasionally to rehearse for 30 years . . .

I work near there and have drive by it a ton of times, but have never been inside. From their website, they seem pretty cool. I have zero experience with booking hourly rehearsal rooms -- how is the availability? Do we need to do it (far) in advance?

I don't think I've ever been happier with a guitar in my life. I feel like I was born with this thing in my hands and it was ripped away from me, only to be returned now.

 

I don't understand any of the criticisms I've ever heard about these guys. It's like a Telecaster and a Les Paul got together, had a baby, and then Satan came in and was like "YOU WILL BELONG TO ME" and the SG was like "NO SATAN" and they had a fistfight on the banks of a lava river and Satan tried to do this backflip and the SG kicked him in the junk, and Satan fell into the lava, but because the SG has morals it pulled Satan out, and got badly burnt in the process, and Satan was like "Okay, you can look like me if you want, whether you want to harvest souls is your choice," and the SG was like "We'll see. We'll see."

 

I'm going to go play ALTWYS until my neighbours call the police.

Killer description! There is nothing like finding a guitar that speaks to you. It's really cool when you're not expecting it.

Where is everybody coming from? I live in Mid City, LA (just south of LACMA and the Grove). Usually on the weekends, it's not hard to get across town for me.

I live on the North Hollywood / Burbank dividing line, just north of Oxnard.
